  1. Who is currently in High A. And 25 years old. Repeating the level for the third year. But he's very aggressive. And toolsy.
  2. I can't wait for this team to use the DH. We may very well get Neifi, Womack, Mabry, and Bynum playing at the same time.
  3. He's fine. He wasn't really injured. It was just a super secret steroids supsension. He was throwing high 80's, topping out at like 90 or 91 on occasion with no movement. The lack of curve balls is a concern as well. The curve ball puts more strain on the arm, so maybe he was holding it back because of the pain. Either that or the pitch just plain sucks for him right now. I hope he is fine/gets fine so we can get his butt out of town for anything of value, but I think that is a little too optimistic. He was throwing good curves after the first inning. His fastball wasn't fooling anyone, however.
  4. According to Bob, you need to be a complete idiot to be a catcher.
  5. Ask Blanco; he seems to be the only one with a clue around these parts.
  6. Look in the stands. Are there still people there? Are they [expletive]? They're Tigers fans.
  7. Paraphrase? "Ah geez..." "OH COME ON!" "Oh man..." "AUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGH!" *Dead silence*
  8. Jeremy Piven is letting them have it, hahahahahaha.
  9. Did he use the B word or did I hear it wrong? WTH did that mean? It means he's wasted.
  10. Isn't he the guy that wants to play in the NFL and play for the Cubs? Just what we need. A pitcher/wide receiver that likes to go over the middle and catch passes in the NFL. Yep. I think Piven was wasted.
  11. Cubs then call him up and he throws 200 pitches in his debut and he goes on DL. "He struck out a bunch of hitters and we had to let him finish the job he started" the wise old towel manager Dusty Baker claimed. Thus ruining both his football and baseball careers, causing Charlie Weis to hunt down Dusty and beat him to death with a lead pipe.
  12. Just heard on the broadcast that the Cubs and Samardzija have agreed in principle to a deal.
  13. I enjoy the mentality of this bullpen. It's like they see a fire, and then out of instinct grab and throw a bucket of something onto it without checking to see what actually was in the bucket. Sometimes it's water...other times, it's gasoline.
  14. That definitely looked like a goal.
