    Sucks when your gold glovers both make errors on the same night. I know that one on Nico won’t be technically an error but it absolutely was.

    Moises is such a difficult guy for people to rate. He is constantly underrated, IMO, because people keep expecting him to get overmatched at some point. He just hasn’t been yet.

    I wasn’t saying Turner is slumping. He is a slump at this point. Was talking Tucker for the slump haha. But yes, every time Turner gets an AB it hurts my soul. Very much a waste of roster space. I’m sure he would be a good Assistant Hitting Coach though.

    This was an incredibly frustrating game. The next time Counsell pinch-hits Justin Turner over Miguel Amaya, he should punch himself in the testicles instead. Also, Tucker just needs to stop trying to pull the ball the whole time. That is why he is in his slump.

    He got really weak contact that turned into two bloop hits. His stuff is still good. Happ is the worst Gold Glove defender I’ve ever seen.

    Swanson is a black hole of suck right now.

    2005 Derrek Lee was pretty special. That was the year he closed the hole in his swing on the inside fastball. Only prime Albert Pujols stole that triple crown and MVP from him. Edit: Somehow I forgot Andruw Jones hit 51 homers that year... Wow.

    If PCA is a .270 w/20 homers he is legit in the MVP discussion.

    I would feel more comfortable offering Tucker a mega contract if he had done better than 1-31 to start spring training.

    If PCA can hit .250 for a full year, he might already be a top 20 player in MLB.

    I think Pena is the right answer but my first inclination was Jeromy Burnitz.

    But, his speed is so elite that if you added that skill to his toolbox he would be so much more valuable. Butler is the single best bunter since I've been born.

    Hire Brett Butler to work with him exclusively for the next 3 years to teach bunting technique and he would be the perfect leadoff guy.

    Randall Simon is still the best bad ball hitter I've ever seen play for the Cubs.
