  1. When are we going to give Dusty the contract extension he deserves?! I'd give him 5 years without question, what he's done for this team is increadable. I'm so happy to have a players manager like him on board! -- Edward K., Indianapolis, Ind.
  2. Poor Edward K. He has no idea everyone is making fun of him. All he wanted was an answer to his question. Well thats what you get for being a dumbass... :D
  3. Don't worry....Dusty will take of that problem for you in regards to Murton. Mabry will be playing LF for the majority of the games until he hits below 200 and then he'll just platoon with Murton. You are a sick, sick man.
  4. Two things: 1- Best outfielder available? PUKE. Trade plz. 2- HAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH 18 Mil w/ a possibility of 4 years.... AHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHA
  5. I doubt the lofton signing has much effect on where drew goes. I'm no expert obviously, but I think if they want to trade Drew they are/were going to do it reguardless of lofton.
  6. Pop. Cola is coca cola. and soda is like club soda.
  7. CF I would guess. By then Nomar could be hurt and Kent could be playing 1st with Izturis at 2nd. I hope that isn't the case though, because I really like Nomar. Haha, poor Izturus.
  8. I dont think we need a fire sale. In all reality, we are only a few steps away from being a real force in baseball for a long time to come. These are the peices we have, and should hold on to (IMO): 1B- Lee 2B- Walker SS- Cedeno 3B- Ramirez C- Barrett LF- Murton CF- RF- SP- Prior SP- Wood SP- Z SP- SP- That is a very very nice core of guys. Not to mention that Felix Pie is right around the corner to fill that CF gap, Decent-good producing RFers are not a rarity, And we still have a decent Pitching class in the Minors. Really, there are only a few spots where we need to upgrade. The problem is, those few spots (combined with incohearent managment) are what are keeping us back.
  9. Problem is, a quarter of the time he gets thrown out out out.
  10. Yikes, thats pretty awesome.
  11. weeeelllll.... I have a real icky feeling we're probably going to end up with Encarnacion or Jones out in right. Ick.
  12. Whats his situation with this team? Is he under our control waiting for arb, a FA? Assuming we're going to end up with some scrub in right field, and Hendry will try his damndest to trade walker, I think it'd be a good idea to keep him on the squad. He'd be a good guy off the bench, or if we trade walker, then I could live with him as our starting 2B.
  13. Trade Idea: Swap Ramirez's With Boston No thank you. Aramis is: -cheaper -equal, maybe slightly better, defensively -will (given the right protection) put up similar numbers -Younger -Not a problem maker -a 3rd baseman, much harder of a position to find production in than RF That being said, I'd love to have TWO ramirez's on this team...
  14. Wow. Ruth was an absoloute God.
  15. I say no. So what if its "physically demanding." So is shoveling snow.
  16. Vance said it best: "If you pay for a year of premium for me, then I'll never mention it again. Untill then, I'll post and discuss what I want." OR something like that.
  17. How is that possible? Are Murton and Pierre going somewhere? Should we beat ourselves up because we didn't give up a top tier hitting prospect for the A-Hole with the high OBP? Lf- Murton CF- Pierre That leaves the chance of a scrub in RF.
  18. I let you win.
  19. Wow, how'd he get THAT inside scoop?
  20. All this Tejada talk is getting me excited. The only thing that really shocks me is his Career OBP....its in the high .330's (.380 if i remember correctly)
  21. Look at that form a Baltimore point of view... They trade Tejada and a prospect and only get Bradley/williams/cedeno in return? If they trade him (note, they dont have to) they are going to want a bunch of young talented players to build a team around. I am firmly under the beleif it will take a package along the lines of Pie/Hill/Dope/Cedeno to even get a discussion started.
