    48) Hendry will hire some guy named Marc Pryer and trade him to the Orioles for Miguel Tejada. 47) Miguel Tejada once talked to sammy sosa, and is therefore granted GOD status, and brings the cobs a world series title.

    I've said it in a couple threads, but I would think the O's (if they have a smart GM) would want to get the base for a good young team in return for Tejada. I think a package like this should be reasonable. Pie, Cedeno, Hill, and Dopirak/Guzman for Tejada. But they seem pretty convinced that they have to get a stud starting pitcher out of the deal.

    If hendry is truely stupid enough to think Prior is an injury risk, then he should be loaded into a cannon and have his fat rear end shot into the sun. GETTING HIT BY LINE DRIVES DOES NOT MAKE YOU AN INJURY RISK.

    This one is plenty justified i think. As far as OO's Idea, its intersting. I would think it would only harm the cubs however. Lets immagine the cubs want a piece of dunn/abreu/manny, but they do not want to offer up prior. The reds/phills/sox would be able to say "what, you offered him up for Tejada but not dunn/abreu/manny??? Goodbye" EDITED: because I cant spell.

    It's called alleteration. I think he was just talking about the word craptacular, which, I think would be onomotopeia, or however it's spelled. Actually, its alliteration, but NY was right. And i dont think that would be an onomotopeia

    Either there is a part to this story we are not hearing (like the GM is a jerk, and Tejada just does not want to talk to him) or Tejada is a jerk, and a sissy, amoung other things.

    There was an article in a denver newspaper saying Grissom might sign with the Cubs. The other 9 and a half pages is arguing. Wow a Five Time all-star~!! Yes, I spend entirely too much time on NSBB. Thanks for pointing that out. :wink: shoot, i'm close to 10,000 and i've only been here 2 more months than you.

    Thats exactly it. If he does even ok in spring training then you know Dusty is gonna trot him out there for the regular season. Its like giving a 2 year old a power drill and just not plugging it in. When he figures out how to start it, he's screwed.

    They will most likely improve. And they will most likely break .500 That being said, they are nowhere near competing yet. Just in order to break .500 I think the following things all (or at least most of them) have to happen. -Wood stays healthy, starts. -No Linedrives hit Prior -Z keeps hydrated. -Maddux not fall apart -Williams stay solid as a starter -Dempster continue to be a strong closer -The bullpen hold up at least a little. -Lee put up a .900-.950 OPS -Aramis put up a .900-.950 OPS -Pierre revert, at least a little, back to old form (higher than .326 obp) -Murton STARTS in left field. all the time. -Keep Walker or replace him with someone who can at least come close to an .800 OPS -Cedeno not bomb -Jones not suck Thats alot. And it would REALLY help if we could get Tejada/Abreu without giving up Prior/Z.

    I am still reluctant to beleive that they will even consider trading w/ boston. But thats just a gut feeling.

    I hope that they keep doing this till say......February. Then realize "oh snap! we have to trade him" and then we can steal him for Patterson and Wellemeyer. Or something like that.

    I hate Clemens. Outside of that I have no problem with it. We know he doesnt want to come here though so it matters not.

    Hmm. Well take prior and Z and hide them far far away. Then go and negotiate with baltimore. If we can get a deal not using prior or Z i'll be a happy camper.

    Yea, I'm thinking this is going to be Sosa-like and drag out untill February. I'm just hoping Prior and Z stay put.
