  1. Ohio State already has 23 guys, holy crap. Their class is all but finished, unlike SEC teams the teams in the Big Ten don't oversign and get like 39 committements.
  2. you aint the only one. the bowing of the back annoys me.
  3. They don't play until tomorrow night in STL. They'll get in very early Friday morning and play probably 12-14 hours later. It's no big deal. stop ruining everyone's "the world is against the cubs" vibe. cubs have already done what i hoped they would this series by winning two. taking this one would just be gravy. I wasnt intending to position this as the world agains the Cubs as you think, i used Mil as an example of the what seems like a late start for a day game today. It seems like a late start. WTH is the problem with saying that.
  4. This seems like a late start for a getaway day. Mil is playing 4 hours earlier at AZ. Giants piss me off.
  5. When you can move your .380+OBP #2 hitter to the 8th spot and have it make sense your lineup is DEEP. My wife could fill out this lineup card and id probably be fine with it. And why would Lou say "I sort of like the idea of a left hander in the five hole" Well good im glad you feel that way, youve had Fukudome there all year.
  6. Parker hasnt been on my radar at all. Now looking, impressive #s at Peoria this year and this promotion to AAA is even faster considering the dude was a hitter in college for 3 years and last year was the first year he really had some innings on the mound. It'll be interesting to see what he can do in Iowa
  7. Next. Oh well tomorrow is another day.
  8. Damn i just checked the score and saw the 5 spot. Damn.
  9. Wood is great this year but Rivera is freaking sick. His #s are joke. Wood with like a 38IP/8BB. Yeah i cant believe thats kerry wood baby!
  10. Lilly 17HRs this year now. Less than every 5 hits he gives up leave the yard WTF
  11. As a reliever. 35.1IP/28H/4BB/16K/1.78ERA Verse righties he has 26IP/0BB. haha He's been really solid, maybe come september when the rosters expand he will be used more in the short role and in the playoffs long men arent needed as much because you dont have a five man rotation (the 5th man can be the long man) as well as the days off and he might be very useful then in the late innings too. I like having Lieber on the team.
  12. Awesomness applies to the hoggs starts as well as the whole Cubs team. Ill be catching the game at bar, thank you WGN.
  13. I remember just one game, cant remember which one exactly though and i dont feel like going back in time trying to remember.
  14. Now i remember what its like to get your ass kicked. it sucks holy mother of mary does this inning suck.
  15. Yeah some of those dudes rolling around in pain is kinda irritating but sometimes its actually entertaining. One time some dude was carried off on a stretcher and once it crossed the sidelines they laid him down and he rolled off and got up instantly and went right back in. I laughed my ass off. If some NFL player tried some of these antics he would be ridiculed so hard, and those dudes are getting freaking rocked. You dont see Qbs rolling around after late hits or hits below the knees to try and sell penalties. Why does the degree of the amount of pain inflicted part of the penalty process anyway. Eliminate that. The refs saw the play or they didnt. I like World Cup soccer. Ill watch those games, those are sweet. This kinda sucks with Tiger, not that i dont like him but i like to see the other golfers challenged by him and see if they can beat him. This year is going to miss that element.
  16. Done. http://sports.yahoo.com/golf/pga/news?slug=ap-woodsfuture&prov=ap&type=lgns
  17. Hey trust me, im not here to say Borowski is great shakes. I just remembered last year near the end of the season seeing his ERA and then all the saves I was like WTF, it didnt line up so i checked his gamelog then. In his case i dont think the ERA was a true indicator of how bad he was as the closer, that was my point. Yeah he probably was an average closer who got a lot of opportunities. This year he is freaking terrible. I saw him pitch just recently and was like wow, he's worse than his worst Cub days by far. No way would i want him closing games this year.
  18. Borowski had 3 games where he gave up 14 runs. Take those out and his ERA was around 3. Sure those 3 games blew his teams chance of winning but those 3 games over inflated his performance last year. It really wasnt that bad. 4% of his games pitched throws his entire season off.
  19. Yeah Ryder Cup is Awesome. Presidents cup isnt. Maybe this year Tiger will dominate like he can. His record isnt all that impressive in the Ryder Cups. And Sergio, well that dude is amazing in the Cups, maybe he will come down to earth this year.
  20. The US Open is the only tourny. I can watch on TV for an extended period of time. They make the course so damn tough it makes golf actually watchable. The British Open is pretty good too for the challenge reason, although the shots there can be a little more of the flukey variety with the ball rolling all over the place. US Open has the lenghth and spinach, British has the pot bunkers and high heather.
  21. Edmonds iritated me because he was freaking good and one hard out. I don't remember him pissing me off other than that.
  22. Best golf tourney ive seen in while.
