  1. holy crap, i always figured him as a mouth breather but that surpassed my expectations
  2. so what's the food and beverage of choice for tonight? for dessert, i hope to be enjoying numerous dongs
  3. smh, derrick rose still not recruiting
  4. that michigan NW game was so good they should try to meet up again in the NIT
  5. hahahahahahahahah YESSSSSSSSSSSSS
  6. My jaw literally dropped when he did it again. What a weird game. Obviously wasn't part of what led him to be a lottery pick, but his vertical at the combine (or whatever the NBA equivalent is) was 36.5, which surprised a lot of people. He just hasn't done a lot of cutting to the lane until the last few weeks.
  7. no, it's because one time there a discussion, likely a facetious one, about sammy being a coach, which you referred to as sammy being a couch
  8. Has taking a guy that early off that serious of an injury ever worked out? Only one I can think of off the top of my head is McGahee and that didn't work out THAT well. But I don't really follow college sports so I'm sure there are other examples. It just seems like that severe of injury can be career altering, even for a 20 year old. todd gurley
  9. may have listened to the castro song two times this morning and it hurt my stomach to think of him not being a cub next year i hope he kick butts in NY. i'll remember him fondly as the goofy character and beloved teammate that was the bridge from the abyss to contention
  10. and iowa state
  11. yeah that 5-time all-star and former cy young is mentally weak, but i guess one time he got a save in game 7 of the 2008 ALCS
  12. Yep. That's why 2003 was so painful. I'm pretty sure they would've beaten the Yankees. 2015 I can live with. They way the Royals played, I think they would've easily handled the Cubs too. I don't buy this "clutch magic" is just luck. Hendricks or Hammel vs the Royals would've been bad. That's a given. But they would've also killed Lester. Probably score 5-6 runs off him without hitting a single ball hard. the royals actually struggled with finesse pitchers more so than hard throwers.
  13. grantland is no more :( jonah keri's work is fantastic, even like his tv cameo's on baseball tonight.
  14. Fried chicken, beer and video games show a lack of dedication to maintaining quality physical condition. Atleast the choking part shows frustration over an underachieving season and a lack of hustle.
  15. I hate to break it to you, but this isn't the year that those guys were traded so 0.5 fwar means nothing. Also, Hendry didn't force us to pick at the top of the draft for a few years - that was part of Theo's plan. javier baez and albert almora say hi
  16. yeah i mean our opening day lineup was something like lester ross rizzo lastella castro olt coghlan fowler soler or did alcantara start? you're correct, think it was fowler soler rizzo castro coghlan olt ross lester rat boy or maybe soler and castro were switched
  17. wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait you stayed to watch the Mets celebrate on the Cubs home field but yet you purposely left before your favorite baseball team came out to salute, you, and the other remaining fans????
  18. hopefully the cubs get a few runners on base and they commence a Game 4 dong-a-thon, which ignites the cubs donging-out party for the next four eight games
  19. so how does everyone feel, nerves-wise? i think this is probably the most nervous I've been since game 2 of the nlds, but still no where close to the wild card game.
  20. well instead of one day game, they're now getting two... not a huuuuge difference, especially with the last one is "if necessary". 3 referencing weekdays games, but point taken. is there a huge difference in viewership for saturday day games vs. saturday night games? and how meaningful is the difference?
