Another interesting thought I had about the Bears fortunes. Maybe they find a trade partner besides the Giants and still get Fields, but for the Giants to trade that pick they had to have Philly trade up with Dallas of all teams to take Devonta Smith, who everyone widely believed the Giants were going to take. Maybe if Philly doesn't get Smith they are willing to trade their pick to the Bears, or maybe Dallas is willing to trade 10 to the Bears if Philly wasn't trying to move up. But its still interesting the chain of events that led to the Giants pick being available. I honestly think the Pats were after Mac Jones all along and would have taken him even if Fields was on the board, so I'm not sure if there were any legit threats between 11-15 that would have taken Fields, but I guess its possible a team like the Saints would have traded up if he dropped much farther than 11.
