  1. IF the committee really wants to avoid a rematch they can easily pit UM and TCU together without it being a stretch regardless how the rest of the games go. Michigan and UGA are locked into a top 2 ranking and TCU and OSU will be some order of 3-4. That’s if they want to avoid the rematch. The same logic applies if they want to put OSU and UM together
  2. With the Phillies involved? If they really want him all they have to do is offer him another year or a little more money given their respective situations and his familiarity with the NL East.
  3. All we have to do to send it to extra time is score as many goals as we have in the first 315 minutes of the tournament
  4. They’ll try to avoid the rematch unless it’s blatant manipulation. Seeding Georgia below OSU would be pretty blatant. If Georgia loses and TCU/Michigan win it will be a rematch. If TCU loses and Georgia/Michigan win it’s 50/50. Do you not move down TCU after losing and put a team that didn’t make their conference title game ahead of them? Tough call, I can see either way. One good thing about this is that Michigan should avoid Georgia in the semis unless Michigan and Georgia both lose
  5. Nothing to see here, just a team fighting to make the CFP getting outscored 44-7 after the midway point of the 2nd quarter.
  6. I hate this but I guess I should get used to it. With the 12 team playoff it’s less likely that one team can ruin the others season. I just wanted Michigan to do it one more time before it changes.
  7. Boob says Rodon and Verlander
  8. Caleb Williams looks like a slightly bulkier Justin Fields. I’m sure that comparison has been made before, potentially a lot but this is the first extended look I’ve seen of him. Dancing out of pressure and turning his hips and hitting guys 20+ yards downfield is a thing of beauty
  9. Watch it be us that gives the Eagles that loss
  10. Justin practiced in full again today and does NOT have an injury designation on the injury report. Sounds like QB1 is back.
  11. Relevant for tomorrow
  12. Anyone watched the docuseries Good Rivals on Prime Video? I saw an ad for it but didn’t realize it was about the Mexico-USMNT rivalry. Looking forward to watching it now as long as it doesn’t dumb down things for the casual fan
  13. Anyone else going to the London games next year? I just bought tickets to the Saturday game, looking forward to the experience.
  14. PTBNL in the Jake Rudock trade back in 2015
  15. Have we identified why Swanson's WAR legit doubled in his 7th MLB season? Is there a chance its an outlier or are there legit changes he made leading to that boost?
  16. I'm so torn. I would love nothing more than Fields to singlehandedly beat GB this week, and my fantasy team needs a win in 1 of my money leagues. But the defense couldn't stop this same bad GB offense earlier in the season, and they had Quinn, Roquan, and Jackson then. So, they're going to lose anyway and now I have to actually care if Fields plays. I'm sticking with my earlier position. I think my favorite scenario is that Fields leads the Bears on a late (would be) game-winning drive, only to allow a TD return on the ensuing kickoff. Fields shuts people up by showing he "knows how to win", but we still solidify the draft status. I still want the Bears to win solely because its the Packers, but that is not a bad outcome at all. Put the fear of god into Packers fans and let them worry about the next decade.
  17. Selfishly for my fantasy team I'd like him to play. Superflex league and my other QB (Kyler) is on a bye leaving me with Heinicke and no one for the superflex spot. I've already clinched the playoffs but the top scoring regular season team gets 20% of the pot and I'm currently 87 points ahead of the 2nd place team. Should be good unless I have 2 stinkers the last 2 weeks (which is a possibility with no Kyler this week and no Fields next week). Fantasy aside, my first priority is always going to be whats best for Fields and the Bears. I tentatively trust the FO/coaching staff that if he plays he's not at risk of reinjury and is healthy enough to go. If that's not the case, its a perfect time to rest one more week and then get the bye before coming back for the final four games.
  18. Sounds like Fields is trending towards playing....
  19. Hot take: Edwards is probably a better RB anyway. Of course, you'd love to have both They are both really good but different type of backs. Corum is best when he's running between the tackles, finding small holes and then breaking through contact and dragging defenders extra yards with his massive legs. Of course he has speed so when he gets a clear hole he's gone, but what Michigan has done all year is use Corum to bust through the middle for moderate gains. Watching Edwards for 2 years, he's definitely more finesse. He often dances around at the line of scrimmage looking for a hole which means he gets stopped for short gains a lot more than Corum does. Michigan's offense has been to get good yardage on first down setting up manageable 2nd and 3rd downs. Or if passing on 1st down and throwing an incompletion, feeling confident in getting chunk yards on 2nd and 3rd down by running. Not sure they'll be able to do that as well without Blake. However Edwards in space is lethal. Much bigger passing game option when there's no cast on his dominant hand and pretty much explodes when he finds an opening which we saw last week. So yeah he's really good but Michigan will likely have to alter their offense a bit to adjust to a different type of back.
  20. I believe if Spain evens it up Germany would go through over Japan at this point winning the GF tiebreaker by 1 over Japan.
  21. Costa Rica just too slow. Keep getting caught up to on the counter.
  22. Cant wait to see xG in the CR-Germany match. Just in this half they've hit the inner part of the post twice and had 3 different breakaways, scoring once.
  23. Tournament soccer is just the best. Hope Costa Rica enjoyed their 2 minutes of being in position to advance.
  24. Damn you Illinois
