  1. They were also two games away from breaking the record for longest unbeaten run by a mens national team. They still have a good chance to win the group really. I was going to watch this recorded but my cousin texted me the result at 6 AM . . . Poland and Mexico looked pretty hapless. I actually think Mexico looked solid. Poland looked pretty hapless. Had a golden opportunity to get 3 points in a group that was upended by a massive upset and blew it.
  2. I have no idea how to feel about this. Like there's clearly no reason to rush him. But they can't just hold him out if he's healthy. There still seems to be some uncertainty if there's a real joint injury or more of a banged up scenario. There's no way he'll be completely healed and healthy, Jets pass rush is going to spend the day in Bears backfield, absolutely no reason to play him and expose his shoulder to further injury. I think the Bears should be as conservative as they need to be, but I also understand the desire to use as much of this season to continue developing him in an otherwise meaningless season. They shouldn't be reckless but if he's healthy enough to play I hope he can get another 4-5 games in this year.
  3. Dabo seems to think Northwestern and Indiana are huge rivals
  4. VAR gives Poland a penalty and Lewandowski is stopped wow. Not going to do much to help his reputation
  5. Watching the highlights and Argentina had 3 goals in the first half overturned by offsides, 2 of them overturned by VAR. All with a 1-0 lead and looking to put the dagger into the Saudis. Instead they score 2 goals and win. Also Saudi Arabia's keeper made several ridiculous saves to keep them ahead, including one in the 101st minute after 8 minutes of stoppage time. Recommend watching the highlights if you haven't
  6. Wtf did he dislocate it or not??
  7. Also the Bulls are 7-2 on Monday-Thursday and 0-8 on Friday-Sunday
  8. 3-2 right? wins were Boston, Boston and Miami. Losses to Boston and Philly
  9. And officially it’s a left shoulder dislocation I’m assuming it’s gotta be a grade 1 or grade 2 to even consider him day to day right?
  10. Random but LOL at the xG for the England - Iran game https://twitter.com/prematchodds/status/1594737886062153735 I wasn't able to watch, does Iran just have the world's worst keeper?
  11. FWIW, the Rapoport report is much more positive re: Fields I think it would be a ridiculously shortsighted decision to play Fields on Sunday but whatever
  12. Sanborn had 2 last week. The defensive line hasn't had a sack since Washington, though. Yeah my bad, I meant the DL. You know, the group that should be getting a large percentage of the sacks theoretically.
  13. I think Iran beating Wales is better... I gamed this out on reddit earlier: To me the order of preference is Iran win, draw and Wales win the least desirable. But someone else above pointed out that Iran would bunker up for a point and I hadn't thought about that so maybe the safest is a draw.
  14. Yikes...I havent seen the full grades yet but that is awful. Bears haven't had a sack in 3 weeks apparently
  15. Not sure a running play in that situation is much better but it may have been called due to Fields shaking off his injury on the previous play.
  16. This definitely reads to me like he's out for the year but wants the Jets to gameplan for him or something. But I guess you could spin it the other way too and take it as a positive
  17. Adams was amazing. Thirded. He was all over the place and cleaning everything up. We don't get a result today without him
  18. the good news is the US will be playing in prime time in the next one. But what the hell are you doing working this week? Please put all England's matches in the latest window so they have to watch in the middle of the night. Send them to Canada too and make them play in a CFL stadium
  19. Painful to settle for 1 after having lead until the 83rd minute but that's an acceptable result. 0 would have been a complete disaster and probably cost us from advancing
  20. Gonna be at least 2 more mins after the stoppage time
  21. Yeah. England is going to need a result in that game unless Wales tied Iran. They might not need to pour it on but they’re not going to want to risk a loss and a runner up spot. Meanwhile Iran might be eliminated already when we play them. Good point. I know Iran was hot garbage today but I'm writing 3 points in for Wales just yet. That said Iran might be eliminated by the time we play them but I'm sure they will be motivated to knock us out of the tournament. Again.
  22. Yes and hope that England cares enough about sharing an island with Wales to play it straight up with their full roster. At the very least anyone with a yellow for England won't be playing. No yellows for them today which I guess is a good thing
