  1. Leadoff double followed by slumping Swanson and Happ vs LHP surprisingly doesn't do anything. Edit: But Belli takes care of it
  2. Why is that? Does he have durability issues or is extremely minimized workloads more common early in minor league career?
  3. The DBacks inexplicably sacrifice bunt down 1 with Jace Peterson due up. Peterson strikes out leading to Arizona losing the game.
  4. Dbacks pitcher balks in the go ahead run with 2 outs and 2 strikes. My lord
  5. That’s where I’m at but either outcome is fine. tied up at 7-7
  6. Lmao now the Diamondbacks have the tying run on 3rd with 1 out
  7. Reds currently up 6-4 in the 10th so I guess were trending towards WC2 tonight.
  8. At one point I pointed out how the Cubs had nothing but bad teams ahead of them while the Brewers had at nothing but teams who ranged from great to at least decent. The Cubs were 1.5 games out to start that stretch and 4.5 games out now lol.
  9. Well at least he only had to throw 3 pitches* (plus the multiple times he had to warm up)
  10. Ross seems like he's desperately trying to steal outs throughout these games to prevent his guys from pitching and they always seem to fail him
  11. Here we go.......couldnt steal 3 outs to prevent Alzolay from pitching.
  12. I know every team has their guys that struggle with walks but Palencia and Cuas both look like they have no idea where their pitches are going to end up as they're throwing them.
  13. There was a period where the Cubs looked nearly unbeatable too. The odds aren't great but I'll wait until at least after the first H2H series to give up on the division.
  14. Probably. Then we'll all be mad at Seiya for screwing the closer lol
  15. Palencia coming in to finish the game. I'm sure Adbert will be on standby
  16. Seiya is a horsefeathers beast right now. Bravo to Ross for the mental break.
  17. But hes a ground ball pitcher, get the ground ball dammit lol
  18. I swear to God if I asked TT to prove that 2+2 = 47, he'd somehow find a way to convince me.
  19. So this is the 3rd recent game I can remember Leiter coming into the game mid-inning to stop a rally and immediately giving up an RBI hit to the first batter. One was that Toronto game that we needed the late Morel hit to win. He came in with 2 outs and a runner on first and immediately gave up a double to tie it. The other I think was that game against the Royals where they chipped away and turned a 6-1 lead into a 6-4 game. Possibly just SSS, but maybe he's not the best guy to come into a jam to get a key out. Now I'll wait for everyone to bring up examples of other times he's come in to get a key out that I forgot about because my brain will only allow me to think about negative outcomes.
  20. Here I am yet again sitting at my TV stressing about getting the final 6 outs of a game.
  21. Not sure if it would mattered but I adamantly thought Wesneski should have been pulled before facing Hayes. He clearly didn't have it that inning. I understand the Cubs situation and the need to steal outs but lately it seems like the Cubs are incapable of stealing those extra outs.
  22. The Cubs have won just 1 game by more than 2 runs since August 2nd, and that was 15 games ago.
  23. Every time Leiter comes in a situation like that he gives up runs to the first batter. What the horsefeathers. Get Merryweather and Alzolay up. 8-6 now with the tying run up
  24. Ross finally pulls Wesneski with the tying run on deck
  25. Oh look another run. Jesus get him out of there Ross
