What happens when the umpire is calling strikes consistently 3 inches outside the strike zone? Batters start swinging at pitching way outside the strike zone.
Had to get one in one of the last 3 innings where we had at multiple runners on base with less than 2 outs each time.
That said, that was basically the first 3 innings for the Brewers offense tonight so I guess we're even?
Cubs fans: look at Julian Merryweather, he throws 100 mph can you believe it?
Counsel: Hmm should I bring in the guy that throws 103, or one of the other 3 guys that can only get up to 100?
Terrible call completely changes the entire complexion of the inning. Of course Seiya shouldnt have taken strike 3 and Candelario shouldn't have swung at garbage but still
OH horsefeathers yeah for some reason I was thinking the off day was on Monday. Yeah he'll get an extra day which makes the decision to push him through that inning better, though that just means we don't get to use Steele in the important Cincinnati series.
I was looking at defensive runs saved the other day and thought "theres no way the Brewers can be that much higher than the Cubs". I guess I can see why now.
This has to be Steele's last batter. He has an arguably bigger start on Sunday vs. Cincinnati and is at 110 pitches. Not great
Great bounceback though. Was at 71 pitches through 2 innings and finished the last 4 in 40 pitches
