Maybe someone can explain to me the merit of a 2 "match" series. With goal differential being the main decider, isn't this just a 180 minute match with 90 minutes in Chicago and 90 in New England? I guess since you are able to start fresh with your starting lineup in hte second game it really is considered a game, but I just think the whole concept is silly. Basically what I'm saying is that it is no big deal if the Revs score here in the last 4 minutes of the game. All it would do is ensure that Chicago has to win the next game. If we had won 7-0 this game, the second game was merely be a formality.

Back in April of 2004 if you had told me that the NL Central would represent the NL in the World Series for 3 consecutive years and a Chicago team would win the World Series....well you know how the rest goes.

verlander probably wasn't a great choice given his down the stretch and playoff performance. what's shocking is how well Reyes has pitched. It has to do with him being a Cardinals pitcher. If he was on any other team, he would suck. But since he plays for the stupid mythical cardinals, he's all the sudden a superstar.

If someone would tell me that a team would win 83 games and somehow make the playoffs and advance to the world series off the bat of their light hitting catcher and then upset the heavily favored and more talented representative from the superior league, I would have put my life savings on that team being the Cardinals.

Gold Just so you know its a Cubs website. We hate our team and our pathetic history, but we relucatanly cheer for them. Therefore, we are very edgy when a Cardinals fan goes onto a forum supporting a team that has nothing to do with whats going on and eggs them on. Moderators will be active.

The way I see it, the Cubs are the only thing off limits as far as smugness by oppoents. Isn't that the rules? Let people be as smug as they want to be over wins...if you don't want to read it goto a fan forum for that team where you'll see similar treatment to what the Cubs get here.

C'mon Michigan, step up and act like a title contender. OSU beat Iowa by 21 in Iowa City. Iowa is down 4 to Michigan in Ann Arbor

Is Michigan going to win this game?? Even if I wasn't a UM fan, I would be rooting for the 1/2 OSU/Michigan that HAS to happen.
