its not like he will anwser and i dont want it to get deleted the cards winning it all is nowhere near as bad as the sox. :shock: I, among some others, would disagree. I think it matters where you grew up or where you live. I still think Cardinal fans are some of the most arrogant fans in all of sports. Nope it doesn't for most of us. I live in the heart of Chicago and I can tell you the Cards winning is worse.

That's the worst part. I don't really dislike St Louis all that much (I loathe Houston), but the fact that Scrappy McHustler won the MVP makes me sick, because not only wil we be subjected the the standard "heart wins over talent" boilerplate sportswriting/radio for the next 12 months, but there's a better than 75% chance that Hendry decides he needs to field a team that features below average corner OF's, a terrible C, a godawful middle IF, and a mediocre starting rotation anchored by a solid #1 in order to win. I can't wait to see what FJM says about it

Next year can't get any worse. I know we cannot think of anything worse, but something will happen to make it worse. Since you posted this I have been sitting here trying to think of some way for ti to be worse than this next year. I came up with nothing. I was thinking too...probably this: Mets for some reason move to the AL this offseason. The Cubs as expected fail to win 60 games. Your ALCS in 2007 is White Sox vs. Mets. Your NLCS is Cardinals vs. Astros. (Astros beat the Marlins, Cardinals beat the Padres). The World Series is Cardinals vs. White Sox. In game 7, tied 3-3 in the 9th, all of the players on both sides of the field decide to call the series a draw, take the Red Line up to Wrigleyville and storm the neighborhood pilaging everything including Wrigley Field. George Bush is impeached (the only good thing here) and an emergency election is held. Steve Bartman and Alex Gonzalez run on the presidential ticket and win, with their first act being to disband the Chicago Cubs.
