  1. Agreed. The Saints will be the only real NFC competition, and I'm not convinced that they'll be as tough as they've looked at some points. I'm not the slightest bit concerned about the Saints or the Seahawks in the NFC. The Giants, maybe a little. The Falcons, if they can make it, not at all. Good Rex can have a field day with the Cowboys' safeties, but Dallas's defense is fairly average all-around, which is a concern if the Bears can't get to Romo. TBH, the team I would be most concerned about playing would be Philly, and not just because they are the flavor of the week. They're the only NFC playoff team besides the Bears with a good defense, and if the offense can click with Jeff freaking Garcia helming them, they must be doing something right. Plus, they have a pretty balanced offensive attack. And, maybe I'm still a little bit paranoid from 2001. So, I guess if I were to rank teams in order of who I'd least like to see the Bears play in the NFC playoffs: 1. Eagles 2. Cowboys 3. Giants 4. Saints 5. Seahawks 6. Falcons 7. Anybody else who might make a run, like the Packers/Vikings/Niners/Rams/Panthers So, in my eyes, best case scenario for the Bears is for the Falcons to sneak into the playoffs, upset the 3 seed NFC East winner, and have the Seahawks win the other first round game, so it'd be down to the Bears-Falcons-Saints-Seahawks. The only team I'm worried about are the Cowboys and it's no easy task to come to Soldier Field and win unless you have Steve Smith on your team. Our defense is starting to concern me though. Or Jason Taylor
  2. It's like he looked at the final score, or just watched the overtime period. The only real break the Bears got was the lack of a replay on Davis' catch. Everything else went against them. The biggest problem yesterday was a total lack of focus on defense after getting a huge lead. Normally I don't get too involved in caring about how people rate us, but HOW CAN YOU RATE SOMEONE WITH A RECORD THATS THREE GAMES WORSE ABOVE US?!?!?!?!?! Peter King we had 4 freaking defensive starters out including 3 Pro Bowlers, you ignorant man. I just sent this email to him:

  4. From The Last Call on ESPN.com So why would Lovie go out of his way to state the Tank is still a member of the Bears yesterday?
  5. "In the NFC, we don't know who the best team is" Are you freaking kidding me? How about the team with a record thats 3 games better then the next best team?? How much more do the Bears have to do to prove that they are the best team in the conference...
  6. You gotta be freaking kidding me...Mike and Mike are now pimping the Eagles as the best team in the NFC. Unbelievable...
  7. One more thought on this game: Cedric Benson is going to be a star in this league
  8. .968 OPS Pre-ASB .708 OPS Post-ASB
  9. Don't you read the boards? He's this years Jacque Jones. He can do no good and will be run out of town at the end of the season.
  10. you could tell Hester would have a bad day just by the way he was acting all cocky at the start. the coverage of him got to his head this week Yup, that's what held back Jerry Rice and Deion Sanders too. (..only playing ;))
  11. Dammit you guys realize that they held Vasher and Todd Johnson out of the game as a precautionary. If this was the playoffs, they both play, the Bears secondary likely doesn't get burned two times in the 4th and this game is over. Stop overreacting....im supposed to be the king of that.
  12. Where is Marty Morningwig or whatever when you need him.
  13. Remember they still play in the NFC. Seattle has laid eggs the last two weeks. New Orleans just lost to Washington. Dallas got killed by New Orleans last week and has been up and down. Defense has been our bread and butter, and it is simpy pathetic now. Pathetic. Because its missing a lot of important players... We still have 2 DE's healthy, and they haven't done anything. Probably because we lost a pro bowler that was getting double teams every play
  14. You gotta hate how when they lost 4 starters on their defense they just decided to stop trying. Think about the fact that the Bears are short THREE pro bowlers on defense and one of the positions is being filled by a third stringer. Meh. Everyone was obsessing about Tank and Tommie being gone. The line and LBers did fine. The secondary got burned in the second half. Yeah and what is their secondary compared to their ideal secondary? Ideal: CB - Vasher CB - Tillman SS - Brown FS - Manning Current: CB - Hester/R. Manning CB - Tillman SS - Wesley (third stringer) FS - D. Manning You can only lose so many pieces before the entire secondary breaks.

  16. Nope, will they be one and done when they get back Todd Johnson and Nathan Vasher?
  17. This might kill any hope of having the best scoring D this year.
  18. Why does I feel like its going to be hard for me to be in game mode when the playoffs start for the Bears....I feel like these are preseason games....so 3 preseason games, a bye week and then finally I'm supposed to be in game mode.
  19. No but Gradkowski doesn't look like the answer for anything with this team...I think Rattay is auditioning for a backup job for next year. Gradkowski will likely get cut or be third string.
  20. Wow, terrible play there So now the list of hurt/inactive people on D are Ogunleye (now back) Tillman Vasher Brown Johnson Harris This season is certanly ending on a happy note
  21. Anyone worried that Hester is going to be tired out playing offense, defense and returning punts and kickoffs?
