  1. Dammit Jones, stop dancing around out there and hit the hole, you wouldnt have had the first. Oh well first down anyways
  2. I hope not. Esepecially if its because of Friday night, where he really did nothing wrong He was told not to hang out with his bodyguard and be around any more trouble, and less than 12 hours later he did. Whether or not thats fair, it doesn't matter...the Bears are signing the paychecks, and he flat out disobeyed them.
  3. Sigh. :| When he said it on the pregame show, he said "Tank was worried that he has played his last game as a Bear"
  4. I will smile in satisfaction at that. I'm sure you will make it a point to laugh the next time we get snow like tomorrow or something
  5. It sure looks like it... I thought he was gone on that punt return for a second.
  6. Wow, the Buc offense really does suck
  7. ZZ Thorn is back! http://boards.chicagobears.com/forums/thread/228874.aspx
  8. To look at it a different way, lets settle this with numbers: Jason Marquis vs. PA AB H 2B 3B HR RBI BB SO BA OBP SLG OPS Sammy Sosa 15 12 4 1 0 0 1 3 2 .333 .467 .417 .884 Sosa wins
  9. Per Fox Chicago's pregame show: OUT: John Tait Tank Johnson Todd Johnson Nathan Vasher GAME TIME DECISION: Muhsin Muhammad
  10. Andre Dawson and Mark Grace were great players for the Cubs, but they do not even come close to deserving Sammy Sosa status in terms of retired numbers. Don't forget that at the present time, the Cubs only have 4 numbers retired (Banks, Williams, Santo, Sandberg). It's a pretty exclusive club. I mean if we are going to retire Grace's number, we might as well retire Gabby Hartnett, Hack Wilson and other Cubs of yesteryear that actually led the team to WS appearence.
  11. Let's not forget the BEST #31 in the Maddux-less years... KEVIN FOSTER! I was rooting for that kid. Don't ask why. Yeah but when Maddux left the Cubs, he had not already been a HOFer. I guess then you could argue that Maddux shouldn't have his number retired as a Cub, since he didn't do much on his second stay to justify. But my guess is that the Cubs will retire his number because 'its the right thing to do'
  12. Three or four wins? Yeah thats just not true.
  13. Seriously do the Cubs even look at numbers in their player acquisitions or do they say things like "willy....oh yeah he's the guy that threw out 3 cubs at home in that one series...speedy little dude, he'll be great on this team!"
  14. With Pierre and Bynum gone, its obvious the Cubs are under their quota of sub-.700 OPS guys in the lineup.
  15. Yet they are 20th in offensive yards and 3rd in defensive yards. (This is probably true, but I dont remember the source of the info)
  16. Damn, I was hoping it was Phil Hughes
  17. So any other news about the case other then the fact that Rex Grossman and Jessica Alba were led out in handcuffs?
  18. http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sports/football/bears/chi-061214tank,1,3541458.story?coll=cs-home-headlines It was drugs they were looking for and found. He'll probably be suspended by the team for the season is my guess.
  19. Now the same people are hearing rumors that his house has been raided. He has 2 priors apparently. (source is Chicagobears.com's message boards)
  20. People are speculating its a steroids suspension meaning that he'd miss the rest of the regular season plus the divisional game.
  21. Numbers seem decent...some of them a bit low
  22. So was Ernie Banks And Devin Hester, also alot of hot chicks. At one point I thought it was the Cubs cameraman, because he was showing all the hotties. On a scale of 1-10, here is how I would rate the reaction of the fans: 10 out of 10 - Cheering for the Bulls to hit 100 for the Big Macs 9 out of 10 - Hester on the Jumbotron (this was extended for about 30-40 seconds too, a lot of people stood up and clapped) 7 out of 10 - Banks 6 out of 10 - Soriano (a noticible contingent of boos from White Sox fans, who didn't boo Banks) 3 out of 10 - The rest of the game action. Bulls fans are lifeless unless they are begged to cheer, and most of the time its not during game action.
  23. So was Ernie Banks
