  1. They have the impairment thing, at least for alcohol. In Arizona, they have a device that they force you to install in your car if you have a DUI where you actually have to blow a 0.03 or lower for the ignition to start. Obviously it would be unconstitutional to force everyone to install such a device, but its a start.

  3. So is any other Cubs closer we had. Rod Beck was the king of non-1-2-3 innings
  4. Yes he has Amazing what throwing strikes can do
  5. PIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111 What was that, UMF? i think he was saying something about needing to get premium QFT! I have premium, but I don't use it at work because most of the time I like to browse while not logged in

  7. Please, no one quote that PIE!!!!! post on the next page
  8. Thats the first thing I thought too...dammit
  9. He ripped a line drive to the opposite field, I'll take that as a result of the approach. i won't... his approach is awful. He's been swinging early in every at bat and not coincidentally, he hasn't had productive at bats. How can you fault him for swinging at a good pitch and hammering it? If he pops up a borderline strike on the first pitch, then fine, but a good pitch to hit is a good pitch at 0-0 and 2-1. Not if the catchers CERA is really high.
  10. can't imagine why, given our lights-out closer and our stellar record in close games Actually Dempster was a very shaky closer last year and far from lights-out. Also our record is one run games is actually 0-6, no where near stellar. In fact you could say its the exact opposite of stellar Again.....sarcasm. I know, I was poking fun at the previous lack of sarcasm detection ;)
  11. I'd rather we have more practice at winning 5 run games, but that's just me :)

  13. Well I didn't see the game, but I am assuming by statistical breakdown that he threw much better Game: 6 IP 6 H 3 BB 4 ER 4 K 1st inning: 1 IP 3 H 2 BB 4 ER 1 K Innings 2-6: 5 IP 3 H 1 BB 0 ER 3 K
  14. He puts more effort into that song than anyone. People should use him as an example of how it should be done. Anyone except the originator
  15. BTW, anyone realize with Pie's latest AB, he now has more ABs on the year then Matt Murton?
  16. Cmon Howry, I'd rather not hear Ron sing the 7th immediately after soul crushing grand slam
  17. Howry and Dempster should finish this off, but if we go into extras, we only have what Eyre left?
  18. lee has more I realize that, hence the world "also" Pretty cool how the 2 of them are well ahead of the pace
  19. Anyone else realize that Soriano is also on pace to beat the MLB doubles record? He has 12 doubles on the year on pace for over 80
  20. The Cubs of April wouldn't have fought back to take the lead (heh)
  21. Izzy justifies his playing time with a missed sign
  22. 2006: Barrett CERA: 4.75 Blanco: 4.98 Is that overall or just when Z is pitching? Since Z's era wasn't in the high 4's I'm guessing overall ;)
  23. I'm not saying that the catcher makes a huge deal, but I'd believe it makes some difference. Whether its enough to justify having personal catchers is highly highly doubtful.
