  1. Unbelievable, things are actually looking decent for the Packers: Det: Up 13 Min: Down 3 Ari: 3PM Mia:3PM SFO: 3PM NO: Up 7 Cle: Tied Sea: Up 3
  2. Just to keep up to date for the Packers (I want our game to be meaningful, no matter how doubtful it is): MUST WIN: Det: Up 6 Min: Down 10 5 NEED TO WIN: Ari: 3PM Mia:3PM SFO: 3PM NO: Tied Cle: Tied Sea: Up 3
  3. I'm a little disapointed that this is the last game with the new ball. The Bulls are starting to shoot lights out with it.
  4. Counting the days until Tommy Amaker is fired......
  5. Went to the DePaul-Northwestern State game today. DePaul blew them away 97-67. Sammy Mejia blew up for 40 points in the game. He was on absolute fire in the first half. DePaul is now 7-1 in December and has improved its record to 9-5. Could be a sleeper tourney team in the future now that they are on track.
  6. Where in the desert are you going to? I'm in East Baghdad right now, just outside of Sadr City. Please share how the reaction to the Saddam hanging is in your area. Stay safe out there, it could get rough the next few days
  7. If he doesn't get the conversion, then what kind of play call was that? :)
  8. This quote was interesting: So Soriano was a bigger priority to sign then Aramis?
  9. I was going to put this as my sig pic, but I know how much people hate the ani gifs that kill so much memory, so I'll post it here http://img01.yourpix.org/view/image/12.06/29/1167416118yrdhntm0.gif Edit: Bonus http://img252.imageshack.us/img252/7213/skilesbobnx7.gif
  10. Here I'll save you time: Cubs don't win the world series. /thread Just kidding, stay safe out there and best of luck to you.
  11. Which 10 players were those? The ones that Grimsley named?
  12. Hitting Derrek Lee second defeats the purpose of having high OBP guys at the top of the lineup. They are there so that hitters like Lee can drive them home. You would be completely wasting his power by hitting Soriano and Lee 1st and second.. unless you hit the pitcher 8th and Murton 9th or something :)
  13. I don't know what happened during Bayless' brief time in Chicago as a sports writer, but something must have happened to make him hate the city so much.
  14. I agree. Just need to look at the Steelers game from last season when their speed was limited in the snow. But the B & B debunking needs to be looked at carefully all the same, to make sure their observations indeed hold true. They sure looked good in the 8 degree Atlanta game last year though...but that might be because Vick was slowed because of the cold. The Bears are still hard hitters, and no one likes to be hit hard in the cold.
  15. I would have taken Schmidt at 3/47 vs. Zito at 7/126
  16. Of course, over the past 10 years, the Bears have had an equally good team from year to year. Of course a bad team is going to be bad whatever the weather is - and the Bears have been bad for a majority of the past 10 years. No I think that they proved that the Bears were not proportionally better in the cold vs. warm. Meaning if they were 3-10 in the warm, they werent like 5-8 in the cold or something.
  17. It's official guys! http://img369.imageshack.us/img369/4895/favremadden5rw.jpg Congrats to Brett and John for finally doing the inevitable.
  18. Lose Schmidt and gain Zito... hmm.....
  19. Pax was on the Score and said that he is confident that Deng is fine, but then said that Deng is doubtful for tomorrows game. I hope he can play Saturday, I'd like to see him beat up on the Cavs.
  20. Isn't that the same wrist he broke 2 years ago? That's the first thing I thought of when he hit the floor. Here's hoping he's okay. And Riley can go scratch. His teams have always been cheap shot specialsts. Yes it is the same wrist. KC Johnson's article this morning says that Deng's wrist is 'sprained', which is a damn relief. Let's just hope it doesn't become a lingering issue for Luol
  21. Deng is going to get XRays on his wrist from that cheap shot by Posey. He said something like "I hope its not as bad as I think it is"
  22. Alex Brown is a great player. I really think you need to look past the sack totals to understand what he brings to the game. In fact if anyone was to be replaced, I'd prefer it was the guy on the other side of the line
  23. Sounds about right. Maybe our ranking will go up when our Major League ranking goes to D+ next year.
  24. The thing that bothers me about Jack Del Rio is the inconsistency that he has had. Look at their schedule. Literally one week they look like the NFLs best team and then the very next look terrible. This is their season: Start out 2-0 with wins over the Cowboys and Steelers. Then lose a close game to the Colts, in which the Jags arguably looked like the better team. The next week they completely flop to a Redskins team that looked terrible to that point. Next week they murder the Jets 41-0 and the Washington game looks like a fluke. Then they go out and get blown out by 20 to the Texans Then the next 2 weeks, they post nice wins against the Eagles and Titans (including a 30 point romp over Tennessee) Which they follow up with another loss to the Texans. It just keeps going on and on. Great one week, terrible the next. The story of the 2007 Jaguars.
  25. I'd hope so, but that just doesn't seem like Lovie's style. But then again, the pieces are in place. 1. Month of indifference 2. Reminder of last year 3. Vs. Green Bay 4. Lots of doubters (but maybe they want it this way) 5. Prime time
