    And its official. Time for the rain delay and cancelation. I am having a lot of anger thinking about the Cubs right now. I think I need a beer.

    The Cubs main starting lineup (Soriano, Theriot, Lee, Ramirez, Floyd, DeRosa, Jones, Kendall) combined to hit 147 HRs last year, and that is including injury filled seasons by Lee and Floyd and Theriot spending most of the year in the minors. That same lineup after 100 games has combined to hit 57 HRs. They are on pace for 92 HRs for the year, a dropoff of 55 HOME RUNS.

    Time to potentially lose ground. 3 out of the division 2 out of the wild card if these scores hold (and yes its still early but the Cubs offense sucks)

    We better win with Milwaukee and San Diego both winning and the Diamondbacks with a rather bad pitching matchup.

    Thats because Kendall leaned into it, and our announcers aren't huge homers like the Sox ones. Well yeah, I knew why he did it... Not real sure why Kendall did that though...we needed the RBI. Because he realizes he sucks and can't get any rbi's? :lol: Yeah he used up his two hits for the week yesterday. As long as Kendall continues to get on base I'm not going to complain. At least he turned the order over. But there was a runner on third and he was realistically the best chance to drive him home. Even as bad as he is, hes still much more likely to get the runner home than Rich Hill.

    I hope the White Sox DO get someone good, because that would weaken the Phillies and hurt their Wild Card chances. :D No kidding. People need to put things in perspective. The Phillies are much more of a competitor for the Cubs than the CWS, despite the rivalry. Plus we play the Phillies next week.

    Man I know the Reds are in last place, but that doesn't mean we need to play a man short to compensate. I mean they did just take 3/4 from the Brewers! Edit: Whoops, not only was I not the first person to make that joke, but the mistake was already corrected.

    Who do you cheer for between the Braves/DBacks? I would say the DBacks, even though they lead the Wild Card. Despite their winning streak, I still do not think they are good enough to get it done and will have a drop off. The Braves, on the verge of dealing for Tex, are looking dangerous.

    For three days? This reminds me, is the deadline in the middle of the afternoon again this year? I wish they'd go back to the midnight deadline. I know, like I said its crazy. But if the Cubs were in the works for a trade with Murton involved, its not too crazy to think that they might bring him up and start him for 3 games. But doubtful

    :? Eh, theres not a lot out there that I've really liked. Maybe Lofton, but I don't see a lot of rumors involving him. Ty Wigginton might be a decent move, but no one has really earned a demotion on the team, especially with Murton coming up. Crazy thought, but any chance that they are bringing up Murton in order to showcase him for a trade?
