  1. LOL, Tom Thayer is that you?
  2. Wait, so you mean we're not supposed to take Hub's opinions as written fact?
  3. He'll play....I'm sure of it. Not sure how effective he'll be though
  4. http://photos-562.facebook.com/ip006/object/1720/57/n2234081562_34428.jpg Close enough?
  5. Which one? I think it was the one with the Manning brothers on it.... I dunno why, but seeing the patches on their jerseys, and the smiles on their faces. It just hit me.
  6. You guys aren't going to believe this............ it JUST hit me finally that the Bears are in the Super Bowl. One of those pictures posted in this thread I just look at and it hit me. I've been waiting almost 2 weeks for this. Unbelievable.
  7. Not suprised that he was named sportscaster of the year after having to keep a straight face broadcasting the crap that was the 2006 Chicago Cubs
  8. Yeah for real. I worked as a painter this summer and I remember listening to the radio, with all the talk from Training Camp, from the TJ Ced Benson contreversy, to all the talk about Super Bowl or bust. And its all paid off right now. A great, great feeling. Exactly. I remember them talking about how Briggs was demoted to second string after skipping voluntary workouts, and then Vasher threatened to hold out if he didn't get a contract extension. Seems like so long ago...
  9. For Bears fans -on these down and distances, do you run the ball somewhat consistently? Or is it going to require more consistent gains on 1st down? 2nd and 6 2nd and 8 2nd and 10-12 3rd and 4 3rd and 5-7 Obviously it depends big time on situation, but I've noticed the Bears will run a lot on second and long situations. They apparently don't fear having to throw on third down.
  10. I lovelovelovelovelove baseball...much more then football. But watching your beloved football team play in the biggest game of the year is much better then watching your beloved baseball team play meaningless games and bracing for Mark Prior's injury
  11. I love that the Bears seem like probably the most boring Super Bowl media day team in history. They seem all business.
  12. Sweet Steve Finley. Now theres an option I hadn't thought of yet. Is Rickey Henderson not available?
  13. Where'd you snag that from? I didn't Tivo it. I don't know where he got it from, but this is the forum I get mine from. http://forums.tenyardtorrents.com/index.php Have to register (its free) to view the torrents.
  14. This article just proves that Scoop is a terrible writer. It's heavily biased towards the Bears obviously, and the entire article is garbage. I'm also fairly certain Rex never said "When it's all said and done, I will have multiple Super Bowl rings." I'm pretty sure what he said was "If I have multiple Super bowl rings, I will be satisfied with my career," or something to that effect. No, he actually said it. Good. I like the confidence. Let's get #1 on Sunday, Rex. Its that same confidence that had him hucking it downfield against Arizona and New England even though he clearly didn't have it those days.
  15. This article just proves that Scoop is a terrible writer. It's heavily biased towards the Bears obviously, and the entire article is garbage.
  16. I wouldn't mind seeing a William Perry type play called for Urlacher. Get to the one, than let him do some damage on his way into the end zone. We should run out a 4 WR set with Berrian and Moose on the corners, Hester and Urlacher in the slot...... And then throw deep to Berrian. Imagine how much confusion that would cause.
  17. On a brighter note, with the Cavs loss today, the Bulls jump them and move from 5th to 3rd in the East. If Washington loses to Boston (probably not), and Detroit loses to Indiana (very possibly), the Bulls will be tied for 1st in the conference, percentage points behind the Wizards. At the very least, a Detroit loss will put the Bulls alone on top of the Central. We'll see how long that lasts after the 7 game west coast road trip coming up...
  18. That'd be awesome to win an i-Pod at the Cubs game. By September, that might be the only thing I'm looking forward to..
  19. Hamstring injury
  20. There are so many dumb, terribly thought out arguments in that article, its ridiculous
  21. Push. Yeah, I tend to agree. If someone has a edge here, it's probably pretty slight. I would have to agree-the RB's are dead even. Maybe I'm being a homer, but I think the Bears RBs are better...but thats not taking a lot away from the Colts RBs who I think are good. I think Jones and Addai are about a push, but I think Benson is better then Rhodes
  22. Im sick of this crap about the Bears will lose because Manning > Grossman. So what? The Bears RBs are better then the Colts. The Bears Linebackers are way better then the Colts. The Bears special teams is better then the Colts. Besides, Rex Grossman is not playing against Peyton Manning. That's not even an issue.
  23. Theres no doubt in my mind that Marquis will be Jacque Jones'd this year
  24. It would make life here in St. Louis a hell of a lot easier. Tell me about it. Where do you work? I can see Bush III out my window right now. Sorry to hear that.
