Cubs trade Barrett and cash to the Padres for Bowen and a low-A outfielder who was drafted in the supplemental round of last year's draft. No word on if Bowen is our new starting catcher, or if this means Soto will be called up to be the starting catcher. The best part was when the rumored trade was Barrett and EPatt for Bowen and Linebrink. Everyone was going insane. -

That happened yesterday! I don't think I've done that much besides yesterday. Hah, well after leading 34-24 yesterday, bhogg has went on a 12-1 run to take the lead! This should get interesting.

Bowen's numbers do not look terrible this year, but its a really small sample size. .268/.371/.439 2 HR 11 RBI in 82 ABs

There was a rumor on another Cubs board that its Bowen and Linebrink for Barrett and Eric Patterson. If so, this is a terrible trade.

Its so weird having the DH in the lineup. I lose all sense of positioning as to which part of the order we are in.

Figures, our pitcher with a 2.12 ERA coming in pitches against their pitcher with a 6.49 ERA and their pitcher stays in the game longer.

Send 8 hitters to the plate, get 2 runs. Thats the minimum you can score when you get that many hitters to the plate. Oh well, it was still a nice inning. It doesn't feel like 4 runs is going to be enough today though
