Like someone above said, Ramirez is due for a day off. This lineup could look ugly. Fontenot, 2B Theriot, SS Lee, 1B Floyd, RF DeRosa, 3B Murton, LF Pagan, CF Hill, C Hill, P (edited because I forgot we were facing a lefty)
Yeesh, Marquis' numbers are better than Glavines, yet I still think this is a huge mismatch in favor of the Mets. Soft tossing lefty going for 300 on national TV against our worst pitcher.
Lilly is slow, and the ball was bunted hard enough for it to be a double play possibility. Didn't Maine double clutch before throwing to third? I guess Jones might not have had time to think about that
I don't really care if the Brewers win. This will be a race to the finish anyways, if we play like we should, we will take the division. If we play like we have been playing we won't. We are in control of our destiny.
Nice, maybe they are turning things around. nope, they're 0-2 in their last two. circling the drain. Gosh darnet, I was just starting to get optimistic.
Just so you know, I'd love to be a part of Second City Football, but I'm not sure if I'd be active at Second City Basketball. I love the RealGM forum's too much, and they bring a lot of smart analysis. But I'll give it a shot for Tim's sake.
Why? I think people, including myself are pointing out that we are no longer hot and playing above .500 baseball. during a completely arbitrary period selected solely to support your own opinion. give it a rest. Give what a rest? Defending my point? It's not like I'm selecting random dates. I'm selecting the last 13 games that the Cubs have played, a stretch that constitutes 8% of the season in order to say that the Cubs have not been hot over the past 13 games. But you're right, the next time I have an opinion, it will be better for me to select stats that completely refute my opinion. Thanks for the advice. What is their record in the last 14 games? What is their record in the last 15 games? What is their record in the last 16 games? 7-7 8-7 9-7 Although I don't see how those questions are relevant to my previous statistic. The Cubs were on the tail end of a hot streak, and since the first game against the DBacks, they have not played consistently good baseball. They were hot, and now they are playing mediocre. It's a very simple point that I am trying to make. At least Truffle understands... they are 4-3 in their last 7. Nice, maybe they are turning things around.
