  1. Ugh I thought that was a double off the bat.
  2. Well it wouldnt make sense to deal for someone that won't be on the playoff roster
  3. ??? That's a terrible idea. Agreed. Hank is not a great player, and I understand how much people want Soto in there, but whats the point. We are paying him good money next year anyways. If anything, you should be hoping that the Cubs don't resign Kendall after the season and you have Soto and Blanco as your catchers.
  4. 22-7 right?
  5. Hilarious. Wow, hyperbole much? I'd like to know what conceivable futures is being mortgaged by moving the Great Scott Moore (ex-Detroit flotsam, failed 1st round pick) and the Great Rocky Cherry (28 years old with a 4+ AAA ERA). There is no universe where either of these guys is a difference maker for the Cubs. None. Get a grip. I already apologized for my bad wording. I didn't mean we are giving away great prospects. I just meant that we were giving up assets for a marginal pitcher that we don't need.
  6. Yay, Lou describes our rotation as "modified 6 man" rotation and that Steve will pitch against some teams.
  7. The Cardinals did. Struggled against bad teams like the Cubs and the likes of Mateo, Marmol, Walrond, and then went into the playoffs and beat up on the Peavys and Verlanders of baseball.
  8. You know Wuertz is a one inning pitcher essential in to be long relief today.
  9. I think it's possible if Soriano Lee and Ramirez starting pounding the ball and the guys around pick it up. That's a huge IF, even though it shouldn't be. I agree, but they haven't been able to do that all year. Lee had a hot (and powerless) April, Soriano has had hot stretches all year, and Ramirez has been consistantly above average but not great season. None of them have been close to realizing their ability for even a short period of time this year, save Soriano once or twice.
  10. Man I really hope we can make a Cardinals like run in the playoffs if we make it....but I just don't see it happening.
  11. I can't wait until our offense goes on a hot streak, this is getting ridiculous. I don't feel good about any of our hitters coming up to bat.
  12. Is it just me or is every single "PBP" application failing today.
  13. Zambrano and Hill Zambrano is like Wandy except instead of extreme home/road splits, he suffers from extreme month to month splits.
  14. Hey we are only 11-16 since August 2nd!
  15. How do you figure? It was 4.02 coming into today and he gave up 4 ERs in 3.6 IP
  16. We sweep them in July and suddenly we can't beat them.
  17. Wow Marshall is imploding today. Maybe Hendry wasn't as big of an idiot as we thought.
  18. I honestly can't remember, I think it's been months Soriano against Cincinnati? Ward had that grand slam against St. Louis. That's the last multi-HR I remember.
  19. When is the last time we hit a 3 run homer?
  20. Im sick of Hendrys thinking where he thinks he can take these crappy players and then just becuse they come to the Cubs they will magically become superstars..He just did it again with Traschel It's like he thinks he works for the Cardinals
  21. Should have made that Trachsel trade in time for him to get to today's game...
