  1. Great question. Rotoworld hasn't said anything about him in some time.
  2. They are an enjoyable read. You also get to look into the mind of a 15 year old CT, which is always fun.
  3. I stole this idea from BCB, but its an interesting prediction. After today's off day the Cubs play 20 games in a row, with 3 of the 6 opponents at or above .500. How they fare in these 20 games may determine the Central race. Here is the breakdown: 3 @ St. Louis 3 @ Cincinnati 4 vs. Philadelphia 3 vs. Mets 3 @ Houston 4 @ Colorado Anyone got predictions on how they fare? I'm going to go with 2/3 to St. Louis, 2/3 to Cinci (that Marshall/Harrang matchup worries me), 2/4 vs. Philly, 1/3 vs. Mets, 2/3 to Houston and 3/4 to Colorado. Thats 12-8 and puts them at 63-53 overall. (Note: During that stretch here is the Brewers schedule: 4 @ Cincinnati 4 @ St. Louis 3 vs. Mets 3 vs. Philly 3 @ Colorado 3 @ Houston Basically the same schedule in reverse)
  4. I like our odds with Cap going against Harrang
  5. Plus you gotta think with the new ballpark opening next year, the Nats will probably be able to make a splash in the FA market...maybe not to contend but to at least make it an exciting team. That might be another decent selling point for Dunn.
  6. This might be a blessing in disguise. After reading the article in the trib that said that the Cubs were nowhere close to making a move due to this hot streak, Hendry might reconsider after this weekend.
  7. Look at it this way, if the Cubs started out with two losses like these and ended with two wins like they started with, you'd be much happier at this moment. But they didn't so it sucks. The Cubs look to be slumping now, and heading on the road to face the hated Cardinals. Their pitching staff sucks, but as evidenced by the Cubs record against hte Cardinals last year, when they get together, you throw the records out.
  8. So we played .500 baseball without Ramirez and were 3-2 without Lee. It will be really nice to tune in on Tuesday and not see Mike [expletive] Fontenot penciled into the 3 hole
  9. Geez, any way we can borrow some runs from the Yankees today?
  10. I can't believe I wasted 6 hours of my weekend watching the Cubs get 7 hits and 2 runs over 2 games.
  11. Giants only got 1 and trail 7-5 heading into the 9th. Expect to be 3.5 back at the end of today
  12. I really think Murton could hit for more than a .772 OPS and not get hurt every 5 minutes.
  13. Cubs record vs. DBacks since 2004: 2007: vs. Ari - 1-2 (tentative) 2006: @ Ari - 0-2 vs. Ari - 2-2 2005: @ Ari - 1-2 vs Ari - 1-3 2004: @ Ari - 1-2 vs Ari - 1-2 Total: @ Ari - 2-6 vs. Ari - 5-9 Total - 7-15 0 Series wins 6 Series losses 1 series split
  14. Why are the Diamondbacks still trying to score? One run is enough
  15. When is the last time the Cubs get out an attempted base stealer? Not on a pickoff or a pitchout, but an actual stolen base attempt. I'm sure its happened, but I don't remember it happening at all this year.
  16. I think I might turn this game off. Nothing good is going to happen. Teams run on will with the Cubs
  17. Marmol has been pretty bad as of late. Hasn't given up tons of runs, but hes been allowing a ton of baserunners and has been getting behind all of his hitters. He looks like hes throwing too hard and the ball is just going all crazy, kinda like what Zambrano does.
  18. Considering the way the Cubs were winning was smoke and mirrors, I think you might expect a big cold streak coming up.
  19. Marmol has been getting behind on a lot of hitters lately.
  20. 89 pitches through 6 for Petit. He should be good for another one with Pena and Valverde shutting us down in the 9th.
  21. This offense is maddening. I like want to punch something.
