  1. At what point does the WS win fade a bit and you realize that the Cubs have won 1 WS in 118 years and 1 pennant in 81 years? Dont get me wrong I’ll enjoy that title until I die but man our history is awful.
  2. Butkus mostly because people want to know how he managed to rise from the dead. And probably a couple people wanting to ask him about his time on Hang Time.
  3. Good news is, the pitcher who has given up 8 HRs in his last 3 starts is on the bump today with the wind heavily blowing out.
  4. edit: Disregard, I lazily used Gemini and then realized it gave me false information. Shocker
  5. Happ has a NTC, Seiya is having his worst season and is a FA after the year. Kelly is an aging catcher, Shota gave up 2 HRs while I was typing this post, Boyd has been hurt multiple times this year. I mean sure if they can be traded for anything sure, but I highly doubt you get much for any of them.
  6. Also so much for that “undefeated when leading in the 7th inning” stat
  7. The Cubs had 2 chances tonight to bring a runner home from 3rd with less than 2 outs. They failed both times and lost by 1 in extra innings.
  8. From 27-12 to 32-30 From 15 home wins in a row to 9 home losses in a row 8 series in a row without a series win 3-5 since our 10 game losing streak ended but let’s keep everything the same tomorrow
  9. Just where we want the Cubs, with a runner on 3rd and less than 2 outs.
  10. Cubs decided to stop scoring with Busch on 3rd and 1 out in the 4th inning
  11. Right and Thielbar blew the lead and then Maton came in
  12. I think we’ve hit fun bad territory because there’s a tiny part of me that wants Maton to completely implode for all the vitriol it would cause
  13. You know I was doing so well at trying to be rational and patient and then the Cubs went 5-17 in a 22 game stretch
  14. Mediocre at best big league team, bottom half farm team, payroll presumably maxed out. What are we even doing here?
  15. True. It also helps when the only big market team in your division sucks at building good baseball teams
  16. Meanwhile Brewers who probably traded half their good players away yesterday and are paying the rest minimum wage are winning 8-3 tonight
  17. Really smart of the A’s to use the “the first 2 Cubs reach” strategy
  18. Yes this was more just an excuse to complain about Dansby. As soon as I saw him held up at 3rd and realized Dansby was up, I immediately lost hope that we'd get the run home.
  19. Similar to Marian Hossa who played for the Penguins and Red Wings in back to back years, and those teams played each other in the SCF both years, with each team winning 1 and Hossa was on the losing team each time. Then he went to the Blackhawks and went to the SCF for a 3rd straight year and... oh wait they won that one.
  20. Yeah the difference is i think its a designated section where the fans are expected to chant throughout the game and act rowdy while not wearing shirts. Its stupid because it’s manufactured and not organic and because the Cardinals are doing it but not the worst thing in the world to have more enthusiastic crowds
  21. And Steele though obviously we have absolutely no idea what we’ll get from him after like 15 months away
