only one ball hit to the OF that inning, and it had nothing to do with the Cubs scoring that inning. -
Why are you not enjoying this? I hate the people that call out those that are negative, because I am that way well over half the time, but your thoughts about this team seem to be particularly negative. Teams slump all the time. The Cubs have done it several times this year, only to bounce back and score 7-8 runs for a good stretch. I just hate it when we are losing, it chews up my insides. Believe me Ive enjoyed this season a great deal. I love this team, probably the best in my lifetime. I just hate it when they go long stretches without scoring. Hey man I hear ya, it eats at me too. If we lose it will ruin part of my night despite how insignificant the loss might be. I would be a hypocrite to call out people for overreacting in a game thread, so I say carry on.

Not an error because you can't assume the DP. The run scored from third but the ball didn't get away far enough to allow Ward to advance a base (if it had gotten away an error would have been recorded). The ball would have to end up in Evanston for Ward to advance a base.

Can't make excuses that he's a full time PH because thats what he was signed to do. He's fat, slow, and can't play defense. All he has is his hitting and he's poor at that this year.

Good to see that Blanton dominates lefties, and Ward is up. Cedeno would have been PERFECT in this situation

You know so someone who we are keeping in the lineup despite a horrific slump because of his defense, Fukudome is making a lot of errors.

I can dig up plenty of games where the 1927 Yankees were shutdown by mediocre to poor pitching

have you watched the cubs at all this year? jesus Yeah, I know what our inconsistent offense can do. The only reason we were able to do anything last night is because we finally got to thier bulpen. We have been completely shut down by much worse pitchers than Blanton. We have the best offense in the NL is so many metrics and we also have the best record in baseball. Can you show any stats that show we are inconsistent. I'd bet we have the most consistent offense in baseball.
