  1. overreaction of the night That's his shtick
  2. Wow, Atlanta looked so flat, I was starting to think they'd never get it going today but Cutler let them right back in the game.
  3. I think the momentum has shifted significantly.
  4. No he's not, he will never be a "great" qb until he can not have games like this. He's still very good tho.
  5. that was so far off target I wonder if a wrong route was run. That said, Cutler's gotta be able to hold off on the throw and look at where the ball is gonna go. It couldn't have been a better pass for that ATL player to catch.
  6. I don't know what the hell that was. Boy casual fans who only watched Cutler on SNF must think he really sucks....
  7. A lot of things to love about the game so far. D-Line O-Line (at least pass protection) Special teams Cutler, mostly The playcalling has been above average on both sides of the ball as well. Don't like: O-Line (run blocking) That's about it right now.
  8. I think my rule on that exact play (ball inside the opponent's own 30 yard line, ball sitting there with nothing but green grass to the end zone), if you are losing or tied, try to pick it up, if you are winning, fall on it.
  9. Dammit, I know it's 6 points if you field it cleanly but worst case you have the ball at the 20 yard line. Dammit almost picked off. Watch now they'll complete the 3rd and long...
  10. As I said, I applaud when it works out and boo when it fails.
  11. I do believe this is the first time we've scored first in a game all year.
  12. Because both Atlanta and Chicago finished 2nd in their divisions last year. This year the Bears play the 2nd place NFC East team at home and the 2nd play NFC South team on the road, while playing the entire NFC West and AFC North.
  13. Back in FG range...lets at least get some points on the board for the Bears here.
  14. Random question...wasn't Brandon Rideau a big WR?
  15. Glad they missed 2 blocks in the back on that return.
  16. Matt Ryan is rather inaccurate so far.
  17. My point about the interception is, it's not the end of the world to take a sack when your in FG range, especially on third down. I will admit Cutler has made some great plays while running from a sack, but he's also had most of his INTs occur because of his determination to not get sacked. If Cutler takes some sacks, we're playing for a FG on the last drive of the GB game instead of a TD, we don't sweat it out the final seconds against Seattle, and we give Atlanta a quick punch in the gut in this game.
  18. Fake the punt to Wolfe again. I liked how that looked last time.
  19. Dammit, just short of the first...at midfield too. Brad do your job
  20. There's nothing wrong with fades. You're just not going to get receivers streaking open very often close to the goal line. Now throwing it to your shortest receiver is an issue. I'd rather see Olsen out on the perimeter there. Fades are such a low-percentage play. You're counting on your receiver getting to the spot, a perfect ball by the QB, and then your WR out-muscling the DB. I'd rather run a post or a slant every time over a fade in the red zone. The only thing fades are good for are drawing pass interference penalties
  21. That's a misleading stat obviously 3 of those were in one game. False, one was in the Steelers game. Cutler didn't throw an int in the Steelers game. http://espn.go.com/nfl/boxscore?gameId=290920003 EDIT: Ah...yeah forgot about Seattle...fair enough. it was against seattle, but it was off knox's hands like that one kinda. It was, but as I said at the time, it was ill advised. He was improvising trying everything in his power to not get sacked, as he does on most of his INTs, and he threw a high one to Knox.
  22. You gotta catch that Knox, especially after Cutler does such a nice job of getting out of the pocket.
  23. That's a misleading stat obviously 3 of those were in one game. False, one was in the Steelers game. Cutler didn't throw an int in the Steelers game. http://espn.go.com/nfl/boxscore?gameId=290920003 Sorry I meant the Seattle game, I edited it.
  24. Both their main CBs are speed guys too, so even if our WRs beat them, they can recover easily. If we had a tall WR for situations like this it would help a lot. This is why I said getting TO wouldn't be a horrible move, but too late for that.
