Agreed. They need to tell him that. He's shown me enough from his preseason games and in the NFCC game that he knows when to scramble and can, so rather than tell him to stay in the pocket or throw it away, I am all for telling him to run whenever he sees an opportunity too. He'll make some bad decisions to run but better than making bad decisions passing under pressure.

MikePereira Mike Pereira In Bears/Raiders - the IB/OOB Hanie play, he was ruled out of bounds therefore it can't be reviewed because the play is dead when OOB.

Yeah because they are blitzing like crazy, betting that Hanie won't be able to take advantage by finding open receivers.

As bad as he's been...its been one quarter. He will play better than this....hell we've seen him play better than this. 1 quarter out of 24 that we will start Hanie.

Stupid Zack Zaidman spent the entire week talking about how there's no way we do worse than 3-3. Hanie isgoing to have to play significantly better if the Bears want to go 3-3. Time to completely dumb down the offense.....but is it possible to dumb down the offense with a horrible offensive line that constantly puts you at 1st and 15 or 2nd and 9

Dammit, I sold myself on Hanie throughout the week. It's like I forgot what just about every Bears QB besides Cutler has looked like for the last 50 years.

Exactly....not that the INT wasnt awful, but that play never happens if the refs correctly rule that an incomplete pass.

Raiders have had perfect play calls....they sold out on the run on the first down of both drives and stuffed Forte, leading them to have to throw on 2nd and 3rd down. Doesn't look like Martz is calling anything where Hanie might pass it more than 10 yards upfield. The result is really stale ineffective offense.

Another 3 and out. Hanie has to step up in the pocket and use his legs there.

Man they rush 8 and Hanie isnt allowed to check out of the run up the middle. 4 yard loss

Didn't like the Bears playcalls the first 3 and out possession. A run up the middle is the most predicable thing ever when you are starting an unproven backup QB for the first time.
