If the Bears can win today, this is how the NFC Wild Card picture will look: 5. Detroit 6-3 (div record tiebreaker over CHI) 6. Chicago 6-3 ------------------- 7. Dallas 5-4 (conf. record tiebreaker over ATL) 8. Atlanta 5-4 That's really it. You have Tampa at 4-5 and a couple of 3-6 teams. Tampa's next game is against the Packers, so they are just about done.

Philadelphia should probably start looking for a new long term QB. Vick [expletive] sucks and I don't think the Eagles are going anywhere long term with him.

They have to come away with something though. People won't give a [expletive] that they persued these players if none of them sign and they enter the season with another $57 mil payroll. I think they are relatively serious about Pujols (although I question that when I read how their offer wasn't in the ballpark of what he is asking for), but it won't at all ruin their offseason if they don't get him. Signing Reyes (who I am pretty sure they are serious about) and taking a stab at Pujols will go a long way for the casual fan. -
Seriously, I cannot imagine what it feels like to be that kicker. He keeps his team from a BCS bowl and possible BCS Championship berth 2 years in a row.

Why? Until they actually get to play in a national title game against the odds, I am still rooting for them to put more pressure on the BCS. Their weak schedule and the reward they get for being successful with it. You don't think Boise's deserved the BCS spots they've gotten over the years? They certainly deserve it more than the Big East winner has. Yeah, I do, but they rarely play anyone to prove it during the regular season. My dislike of them mostly stems from 2009 when Iowa was making a run at the title and Boise was as well. It's not really their fault and they've beaten every single BCS conference team they've managed to schedule a game against the last few years, correct? I realize the fact that teams refuse to play Boise shouldn't effect their BCS rankings, but I just really want to see them beat the system and get a chance.

Someone teach the Michigan RBs to take 2-3 yards instead of cutting backwards and losing 5 yards. It happens all the [expletive] time. This defense is way too fast to do that.
