  1. Just a sick goal by Toews. I love him
  2. Guess we're trying to build a no power, all defensive team, or at least OF
  3. Yeah its not bad. I pop them in every once in awhile. Since the MLB are nazis about allowing places like youtube to stream old baseball games, its hard to watch games like this anywhere else.
  4. Did these teams switch jerseys during the intermission? Hawks spank the Wild in the 1st, Wild starting to take control in the 2nd. Still no scoring though
  5. Pretty sure that Billups can't be traded Yeah I figured that might be the case. Can he be waived if he complains about not starting? I'm guessing they will make him the starting SG and see what happens.
  6. Damn, Carcillo just got his ass kicked.
  7. I know the Clippers had to make this trade. If you have a chance to build your team around Chris Paul and Blake Griffin, you have to do it and work out the rest later. But I hate to see them have to give up Gordon and the Minnesota 1st rounder. I am a big Gordon fan and if they somehow managed to keep him in a trade they might be contenders this year. Instead, they could still be but probably need a little more. It's gonna be interesting to see how they fill out their roster. Looking at their roster on ESPN.com, it looks like they have 9 players currently under contract: PGs - Chris Paul, Mo Williams, Chauncey Billups, Eric Bledsoe (4) SGs - Randy Foye (1) SFs - Caron Butler, Ryan Gomes (1) PFs - Blake Griffin, Brian Cook (2) C - DeAndre Jordan (1) I gotta think they will be in on some front court FAs, and they will have to make some sort of decision on their PG flux. Billups will not be a backup, so you either make him the starting SG, which seems awkward to do, or you have to trade him if thats even possible. Then you have Mo Williams, another PG who wants to start or at least play 6th man minutes. Also, Bledsoe is supposedly a young up and coming player, so its stupid to make him ride the bench too. My guess is that they will try the Billups at SG experiment, and make a trade involving Williams, Bledsoe or both for front court depth. The starting 5 of Paul, Billups (if it works out), Butler, Griffin, Jordan is pretty solid though.
  8. Blackhawks have yet to allow a SOG with 5 minutes left in the 1st period.
  9. Love me some Bolland: Vigneault's full response:
  10. Eh? So it's no longer CBS gets the AFC road games and FOX gets the NFC road games? It could have something to do with flex scheduling. A couple weeks ago CBS was convinced to give a Denver game up to Fox because the Sunday night game (New England/Indy) was returned to CBS and a Fox game (Detroit/New Orleans) was put in its place. That left the schedule unbalanced so the Denver game was moved. Then apparently the league wanted to flex Denver/New England to Sunday night this week and CBS threw a fit because they felt they've lost too many Denver games already. So you are saying Tim Tebow forced changes to a multi-billion dollar television contract?
  11. why cant you just leave my life forever scott
  12. Combined with the expected drop in draft spending that is a pretty steep cut in the baseball operations. Yup, which goes against everything we've seen or heard from the Cubs the last 6 months.
  13. Good investment. McDonald's revenue has been down 50% since Jim Hendry was fired, so this is a good time to redevelop. (get it? because he's fat he must eat a lot of mcdonalds)
  14. http://www.bleachernation.com/2011/12/14/obsessive-prince-fielder-watch-another-national-pundit-knows-the-cubs-are-in-on-fielder/ Unless we put some enormous bid on the Darvish posting (so enormous that they're basically sure they're going to get it), I don't understand how we wouldn't have the money. Yeah seriously. Maybe Darvish and Cespedes are higher priorities for them?
  15. Tied for what spot? Beating the Skislns would make you 7-6, 1 game behind the WC teams.
  16. Recent tweet from Rip Hamilton:
  17. If the Pacers ever acquired a superstar, not even necessarily a top tier James/Howard/Durant type, they would be scary in a hurry. Otherwise I see this team having a late-80s Cavs/mid 00's Bulls sort of upside.
  18. I hate how spaced out the last few games have been. Starting last Monday it's been Game-2 days off-Game-2 days off-game. 2 games in 9 days. The good thing is that teams are starting to catch up with the Hawks in games played, which needed to happen at some point. I just wish that point was after the Bulls season started.
  19. I hate when threads like this jump 5 pages in several hours, even though I respect the intellectual discussion once I dive into it.
  20. Yeah I don't think they would trade Odom for a late 20's draft pick and a $9 million trade exemption if they didn't think they had a great shot at acquiring a superstar whether it be Paul, Howard or even someone else that hasn't been made available yet.
  21. I'm not gonna lie, I hate H2H in any other sport besides football. I love rotisserie for basketball, but I acknowledge that it's not everyone's personal preference.
  22. If Atlanta loses on Thursday, I think I need to start rooting for Detroit to start winning to avoid a 3 way tie. Dammit what the hell am I doing? The Bears are done.
  23. Stat that makes me want to bang my head against a wall Isn't that the time when he signed his extension as well?
  24. I don't get how it could get any worse, for us. We just witnessed a tanking on an Epic level. Do you really care if the Seahawks put a bullet in our brain after we're already dead? I just want to see my team win. Win for pride if the playoffs are out of the picture, whatever. I know we're in a bad situation right now, but I still want to see this team finish with a winning record, so regardless of how difficult that may be, I will be holding out hope and I will be disappointed if we lose. Also, if we lose this game, I think the chances of Cutler coming back for the last 1-2 games of the season are slim to none. If we could somehow win and Cutler is ok to play next week, who knows. I do know the Bears would be fired up with Cutler back as well as trying to end the Packers perfect season. Remember that the Bears have played the Packers as well as any team in the league the last 2 years. Not impossible that we could beat them with Cutler and Forte.
