I know the Clippers had to make this trade. If you have a chance to build your team around Chris Paul and Blake Griffin, you have to do it and work out the rest later. But I hate to see them have to give up Gordon and the Minnesota 1st rounder. I am a big Gordon fan and if they somehow managed to keep him in a trade they might be contenders this year. Instead, they could still be but probably need a little more. It's gonna be interesting to see how they fill out their roster. Looking at their roster on ESPN.com, it looks like they have 9 players currently under contract: PGs - Chris Paul, Mo Williams, Chauncey Billups, Eric Bledsoe (4) SGs - Randy Foye (1) SFs - Caron Butler, Ryan Gomes (1) PFs - Blake Griffin, Brian Cook (2) C - DeAndre Jordan (1) I gotta think they will be in on some front court FAs, and they will have to make some sort of decision on their PG flux. Billups will not be a backup, so you either make him the starting SG, which seems awkward to do, or you have to trade him if thats even possible. Then you have Mo Williams, another PG who wants to start or at least play 6th man minutes. Also, Bledsoe is supposedly a young up and coming player, so its stupid to make him ride the bench too. My guess is that they will try the Billups at SG experiment, and make a trade involving Williams, Bledsoe or both for front court depth. The starting 5 of Paul, Billups (if it works out), Butler, Griffin, Jordan is pretty solid though.
