  1. Good to see that the Bulls can still win over a bad team on the road without their best player and only playing good basketball for about 5 minutes
  2. I could really see this ending the Saints run, or at least seriously hurting it. I know the Saints lost a few guys via FA this offseason and havent made any pickups to my knowledge. I don't know how much that has to do with this scandal or if its just normal NFL business, but it certainly doesn't make the Saints beter. Then you have Brees unhappy about not having a long term deal. There's just a black cloud over the entire organization from the GM, head coach, assistant coaches, and the players.
  3. Updated to included the recently released 351-400 grouping. Only 1 Cub (Travis Wood) and 1 former Cub (LaTroy Hawkins) were in this set of 50.
  4. Do they think that every person on their line is better than the best FA oline player or has the potential to be? They might be ok with it but you can still get a LOT better. We have the money once again and we don't address our many holes. Thrilled with Marshall but it took the Bears 3 years to finally address it. All that said, it's a new GM leading the team so I'm not sure it's fair to use Angelo's last couple of years against Emery. I'll give him at least one full offseason until I bash him mercilessly.
  5. LOL. Bears love to go defense in the 1st round...except that their last 4 1st rounders, and 9 of their last 12, have been offensive players.
  6. Wins against Columbus still count as 2 points right? Of course. It was just a boring game thanks to the effort by Columbus. I wasn't implying that you didn't think the win was a big deal, I was joking about how bad the BJs are.
  7. That's how it felt for us last month. I would turn on the game midway through the first and expect to be down 2-0 only to find out we were down 3-0. I still haven't fully allowed myself to trust the Hawks since then.
  8. If the Hawks can somehow take 2 points at the UC tomorrow against the Canucks, the Wings play at MSG tomorrow...if they lose the Hawks and Wings would be tied with 7 games left. Detroit would have 1 game in hand though.
  9. Wins against Columbus still count as 2 points right?
  10. ESPN is doing another one of their top 500 players lists created by some metric or another. I think it was polling several people and averaging the results. Anyways, here are the Cubs players on the list (51-500 revealed so far): 88. Starlin Castro 98. Matt Garza 147. Carlos Marmol 200. Geovany Soto 227. Ryan Dempster 282. Kerry Wood 296. Alfonso Soriano 297. Marlon Byrd 308. David DeJesus 346. Anthony Rizzo 347. Paul Maholm 375. Travis Wood 402. Chris Volstad 407. Randy Wells 447. Jeff Samardzija 472. Darwin Barney 490. Reed Johnson Too high? Too low? Former Cubs: 133. Aramis Ramirez 160. Sean Marshall 214. Ricky Nolasco 230. Carlos Pena 240. Scott Downs 246. Ted Lilly 259. Carlos Zambrano 280. Kyle Farnsworth 324. Angel Pagan 365. LaTroy Hawkins 409. Derrek Lee 411. Jason Marquis 428. Andrew Cashner 439. Kevin Gregg 455. Casey McGehee 480. 11. So does that mean we are going to carry a crapload of salary cap space into our 2nd consecutive season? How much space do we still have?
  12. Yay! He'll be valuable in those 2 games he plays in before his next injury.
  13. No. Leave it to Theo...
  14. Well to be fair, it seems like they were going in hard on Cespedes but he got a ridiculous offer from Oakland and took it. The offense could have been better with Cespedes in there instead of someone like Byrd. Not drastically better but enough to have a small amount of hope for a playoff spot.
  15. How am I just now finding out Peyton Hillis signed with KC last week?
  16. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-CFPSmawpPv0/Twpl9IJSNrI/AAAAAAAAErU/kLbkePufMuI/s1600/elwaytebow3.jpg Caption needed
  17. Next 2 games after tonight are against Toronto. Sit him for those 2 games and hope he's ok to play a week from today against Denver.
  18. I'd almost rather have Nocioni, who was also waived, over Fisher, and I definitely don't want Nocioni.
  19. [expletive] you. You are a piece of [expletive]. Go enjoy your child molesting university. holy cow what a meltdown. At first I thought he was kidding or it was some sort of bum related joke.
  20. Is dunking to make it a 3 point lead with seconds remaining like when you are supposed to fall right before the end zone?
  21. Wow if the Hawks can win tonight, they will be just 4 points away from Detroit and 2 points from Nashville (unless they win tonight). Of course they both have a game in hand on us. I would still rather be the 6th seed, but its just damn good to see this team actually playing a bit better, especially without Toews. (I should also mention that the bottom of the playoff standings are tightening up considerably, and the Hawks are currently only 4 points up on a playoff spot and only 6 points out of 11th place)
  22. lol I didnt realize the Bulls only had 11 points in the 1st quarter. That means they scored 21 total points in a 2 quarter span starting with the 4th quarter last night. 78 points the last 3 quarters though.
  23. Huh? There's literally only one comment referencing the game, which was negative but sample size dude. Edit: wait, if you are for some reason counting my question about the bulls w/o Rose, I believe that was posted when the Bulls were winning.
  24. I know it doesn't matter as much in college hoops, but it always annoys the hell out of me when teams run out of timeouts in critical moments, like in this New Mexico - Louisville game. NM was down 3 with 2.1 seconds left with Louisville shooting a 1-and-1. Of course NM was out of timeouts, so when Louisville missed the NM player had to pretty much corral the rebound and whip the ball across the court in one stride. Obviously in college you can't advance the ball on a TO like the NBA, but at least you can set up an inbounds play to give yourself a microscopic chance. There had to be a timeout at some point in the game you could have avoided taking to ensure you had TOs at the end. Am I wrong here? It seems like this happens all the time.
