  1. That really sucks 3-1 lead with 10 minutes left and the Blues just dominated until they got 2 goals. The first never should have gotten by Crawford, and the 2nd shouldnt have happened if the Hawks can actually clear the puck successfully.
  2. Yup just turned it over and caused the Blues to tie it with 1:30 left. Unacceptable.
  3. Well, Castro and Garza find themselves in the 51-100 range, meaning no Cubs will be in the top 50 unless someone randomly puts like James Russell in the top 50. No surprise but there's no former Cubs either. I am assuming we won't see any of them in the top 50 either.
  4. I usually goto the bathroom when the Hawks go on a power play since I know there is a 2 minute period when the Hawks won't score. Wow its horrible to watch. If they can even keep it in their zone for half the power play, I consider that a success for them.
  5. Didn't realize this but the Blackhawks can clinch a playoff spot with a win tonight and a Phoenix regulation loss. 4 straight years of making the playoffs after once in the last ~12 years before that.
  6. OK so you admit the Cubs were not trying to mislead the Red Sox and he passed your physical. Your own doctors said he was healthy. So what exactly do you want from us? If Theo was randomly arrested for drug trafficking and sentenced to a year in jail, the Cubs aren't going go back to the Red Sox and ask for something to make up for it.
  7. Tough [expletive] Boston. You wanted Carpenter, he got injured. Deal with it. It's not like the Cubs pushed Carpenter on him, from what I've read, it was more like the Cubs relented and said 'fine you can have him'
  8. ^ I loved that book. Paul Shirley is a pretty good writer, but when he goes on political rants (not in the book but in other writings), he loses me. Fun to read a little insight into what the Bulls org was like during the baby bulls days
  9. No the game was at the Phillips Arena, not American Airlines Arena.
  10. Western conference playoff race is starting to get interesting. 6 teams are fighting for the last 3 playoff spots. There's the Pacific Division champion, which will be the 3 seed. San Jose, Dallas, Phoenix and Los Angeles are separated by 2 points. The 3 teams that lose that will then compete with Calgary and Colorado for the 7th and 8th seeds. Those 5 teams are separated by 2 points as well. Should be in interesting week!
  11. Based on what we can see of her, I'm led to believe he does actually have quite a "bitch" problem on his hands.
  12. Why do you think its there?
  13. 1 Cub in todays update (101-150) and its Carlos Marmol at 147. Who are we missing? Just Garza and Castro I think. That would leave 8 of the Cubs 25 man roster not in the top 500. I would assume that will include mostly relievers. Aramis Ramirez (133) is the only former Cub in this batch.
  14. After I posted that I did a TwitPic search for Wrigley and got this from 10 days ago (March 18) http://d3j5vwomefv46c.cloudfront.net/photos/large/543539242.jpg?key=40003000&Expires=1332962075&Key-Pair-Id=APKAIYVGSUJFNRFZBBTA&Signature=tbzMcPFzdyY61ob4RpgxksCSFfFrKMd7hTXER8GDTxF7s0TwQ4n2x5n4BeBavtcqMDIH0OaLdFVuqr8A2cNj4z4rc2U7Bdv5v~Op3Xf93dQlOs5HQELy-9bAdpE2pt6-pH~sWAf~0Sbos67cZXwQyKCToK2qkhXNCqhQwZ0tmkM_
  15. I was wondering the same thing myself. I walked by dogs by there last night and they still had all the plastic stuff covering the bleacher area as well as the netting below to catch any debris, so they are still working on it to some extent. But the bleacher stuff is probably independent of the scoreboard installation, which I can't see from the outside. I think STH's have access to a year round webcam looking at Wrigley from the inside, so I am hoping eventually someone posts an update photo.
  16. Felix got a ND. The game ended in the 11th inning. Feel a little better now?
  17. I only knew because I got the a fantasy reminder that Felix Hernandez was starting.
  18. When did BG stop wearing number 7? The best part of that video was the split second when he lands, the look on his face says "hell yeah, I landed on my feet!" before turning to fear as he gets decked in the head.
  19. For one he makes a comment about how a list like this heavily favors hitters because pitchers can be so unpredictable. That's why there's only 1 pitcher on his list and he's 10th. That said, that entire argument is damaged when you consider most of his list includes guys that have proven little to nothing in the bigs and their rankings are based on potential.
  20. We'll make the playoffs and then we'll see. It's hard to really be excited about this team, but who knows. Will Toews ever play again? Miss seeing him out there. This team is so streaky that I have no idea what to expect. I wouldnt be surprised if they were swept out of the first round, but I also wouldnt be too surprised if they somehow made the Western Conference Finals. I think the former is more likely than the latter though with our D and goaltending.
  21. The 10th place team in the Big Ten might win the NIT. Shows how good the Big Ten was this year I guess
  22. Boo I hate shootouts. Getting 1 point out of the last 4 greatly increases their chances for the 6 seed. If Nashville loses tonight (losing to Blues right now), the Hawks will be 3 points behind Nashville, and 4 points behind Detroit (DET has game in hand). Most importantly, the Hawks are 6 points up on the 7 seed Dallas/Phoenix (both tied for 7/8 seed) and 7 points up on LA and Colorado who are tied for 9th place. 5 games left guys.
  23. Also, Keith Law predicted who would be the 10 best players in baseball in 5 years (2017) and Starlin Castro was 8th. Here is what he said about our favorite little rapist: Top 10: 1. Justin Upton 2. Andrew McCutchen 3. Matt Weiters 4. Giancarlo Stanton 5. Eric Hosmer 6. Evan Longoria 7. Mike Trout 8. Starlin Castro 9. Bryce Harper 10. David Price
  24. They did 201-250 on Monday and 151-200 today. Only 2 Cubs in that batch of 100: Geovany Soto at 200 and Ryan Dempster at 247. Former Cubs include: 160. Sean Marshall, 214. Ricky Nolasco (technically didnt play for Cubs but included him anyways), 230. Carlos Pena, 240. Scott Downs, 246. Ted Lilly
  25. If you randomly woke up tomorrow to find out that Thomas was murdered, would anyone have any doubt that it was NeifiIsMyHomeboy?
