  1. Just wanted to normalize the standings a bit since some teams like Boston have 17 games played and some teams like Toronto have 22 games played. TEAM - Points per game (points projected to 20 games played) Chicago - 1.85 (37) Boston - 1.64 (33) Anaheim - 1.61 (32) Montreal - 1.45 (29) Ottawa - 1.29 (26) Vancouver - 1.26 (25) Pittsburgh - 1.24 (25) Los Angeles - 1.22 (24) New Jersey - 1.20 (24) Toronto - 1.18 (24) St. Louis - 1.16 (23) Minnesota - 1.16 (23) San Jose - 1.16 (23) Carolina - 1.11 (22) Detroit - 1.10 (22) Nashville - 1.10 (22) Winnipeg - 1.05 (21) BTW the best post-lockout team was the 05-06 Red Wings with 124 points in 82 games, 1.51 PPG, and would have 30 points in 20 games. There are 3 teams playing above that pace right now and another right behind it.
  2. Maybe I'm nuts but I've felt like the West has been the better conference for awhile.
  3. They have to be. Right? It's March now. #1 in the polls is meaningless. At this point, it's all about whether Gonzaga deserves a 1 seed in the tourney. The polls are always meaningless. Doesn't mean it wouldn't be a cool feat for Gonzaga.
  4. Hitchcock is a psycho.
  5. Good. If they make any drastic changes to the logo/uniforms (although it seems like the main logo and home unis wont change), do it in a year that we expect to compete so we can all associate those uniforms with winning.
  6. WeareDePaul.com's message boards might be the most depressing place on earth these days. Just thought I'd share. Example:
  7. Someone reassure me that Kansas loss to TCU was worse than this one.
  8. Michigan just completely collapsed. 15 point lead with 10 minutes left blown with pathetic defense and disjointed offense down the stretch. Michigan was in complete control of the game until they weren't.
  9. Bring on Derwood and PCP to make fun of Michigan for losing to 0-14 Penn State
  10. This would be an embarrassing loss to say the least
  11. Penn state apparently owns Michigan. This is ridiculous.
  12. I'm in. I rep DePaul ....ok and Michigan
  13. Happy Birthday NSBB! It's amazing how much this forum has changed over the years. From starting out as a place to get away from the idiots on Cubs.com and ESPN, to turning into a really popular (if not the most popular) Cubs board, to the expansion into NSBB Premium, to the countless attempts to turn the front page into something, to the number of trolls and idiots who invaded the board at the peak of its popularity, to the attempt to gain some mainstreak legitimacy with Minor League player of the year awards and countless chat sessions with Cubs related figures, to kinda just existing when Tim was trying to make 312sports work, to the decline in popularity as a Cubs forum, but maintaining its solid base of longtime posters. The board has definitely changed a lot, but I still love it.
  14. Dammit I wish I remembered to predict Minny over IU yesterday. I just had this feeling Minnesota would win this one. Oh well. Michigan now controls their own Big Ten championship destiny again.
  15. I will say Chicago does get screwed by losing a long time historical arch rival, so I'm not ignoring that, but at least we keep the Blues rivalry, and we should be able to renew that old North Stars rivalry with the Wild in the new "conference" It still sucks though and I'm against any proposal that has Detroit leaving our division/conference and only playing them twice a year.
  16. Yay, I just realized Anaheim lost last night as well. Good stuff.
  17. No way, I don't want to lose to Detroit either. Actually I don't want to lose ever
  18. Yeah and only 3 regulation losses over the last 365 days
  19. Ill take a 6-0-1 homestand And we've still played more road games than home games.
  20. 16-0-3
  21. Looks like Taj is going to be out at least 2 weeks with an MCL sprain
  22. Gotta appreciate Bill Murray just wanting to watch the game and talk baseball. He probably can't stand most Cubs fans if the stories in the article are the norm. Not surprised that he doesn't attend games often anymore.
  23. Dont want to start the arby clock until we're ready to compete
  24. Just finished reading that....awesome read.
  25. I think the AL East has a chance to be one of the most interesting division races in some time. I could see any of the 5 teams winning the division. I could also see any of the 5 finishing last. Everyone is down on the Yankees but they still have a ton of talent, the Red Sox are bouncing back from a terrible year and made some interesting moves, the Rays are the small market engine that could with lots of young talent, the Jays havent made the playoffs in 20 years but made some big moves in the offseason and many are projecting them to compete for a playoff spot, then you have the Orioles who defied all logic in making the playoffs last year and many are expecting a regression this year. No clear cut dominant team, all teams have major questions, but all teams have a shot at the division/wc.
