    saw a couple of people post their experiences here on doing the ST buying event. I forgot I even signed up for the ST waiting list a long time ago and just got an email saying i can go on Saturday and look at available seats. I have no plans to purchase season tickets at this point, but wanted to see if there was any value in going just for fun. what do you do there, just walk around the field and look at the open seats, or are there meetings and sales pitches and stuff? It's not like going to a timeshare meeting is it?

    Hahahaha. I am LOVING this. Now all these bandwagon Laker fans will go to the Clippers wagon and be ultimately disappointed by season's end. RIP 2012-2013 Lakers Relax, they said Howard will be re-evaluated in a week, their season isn't over.

    If that's true, that's a lot more crushing than the end of the Nationals season for DC sports fans.

    Looks like the Cotton Bowl of all bowls is set to host the first playoff championship game, with the Rose and Sugar bowls to host the semis. Also, the Rose and Sugar bowls will both be played on January 1 regardless of whether they are semi-final games or not. When they are not hosting playoff games, the actual Semi-finals will be played on December 31st.

    Seems like its going to be a 48 game season most likely unless things get ratified quickly.     Have you noticed a lot of news about the other interviews? I've only heard blurbs about whether or not they happened. Well we heard about the one that went 6 hours instead of 3. McCoy is possibly the highest profile candidate so I thought we'd hear some sort of reaction from a beat writer.

    Wasn't McCoy's interview supposed to be yesterday? I don't see any news about it.

    Off topic, but I still can't believe Skip and Rick are brothers. Chicago definitely got the better Bayless. The scary thing is that for a short time we had both Baylesses (pre Skips ESPN 'fame')

    6 days in and were still adding candidates. I should check my email to see if I'm getting an interview.

    Good game so far between Michigan and Iowa. Michigan starting to score at will but Iowa is mostly keeping up with them hitting some big shots to stay in it. Edit: And as I say that Michigan finishes the half on an 8-0 run to take an 11 point halftime lead

    If there is no conference games I could see them doing all 6 divisional games (24) and then 3 games against 6 of the 10 other teams in the conference (18 games) and then 2 against the other 4 teams (8 games). Or I guess they could say 4 games against the division (16 games) and 4 against 4 conference foes (16 games) and 3 against the other 6 teams (18 games). I'm guessing they won't go to an odd number of games against teams in the division so its either 4 or 6 most likely.

    They are talking about either a 48 or 50 game season. I'm guessing 4 games in division (16 games), 2 games against the rest of the conference (20 games) and a game against 14 of the 15 out of conference teams. Or the could cut back to barely playing the opposite conference and have teams play a 3rd game against some or all non divisional conference teams.

    Sorry I got excited. A shortened season should be good for the Hawks who are still depth challenged. I don't care where they finish in the top 8, just get a playoff spot and bring on the playoffs!

    Most important thing I took from that article is that the Miami team is called the HEAT not the Heat.

    Thank you to the Big ten for beating each other up. Illinois, Michigan State and Ohio State already with conference losses. Of course I say this and Michigan will come out and lose at home to Iowa tomorrow.

    NBC just confirmed that Ponder is inactive. Not sure how this changes the Vikings chances tonight.

    This will be considerably helpful when the NFL changes to a 3 down system and lengthens and widens the field.

    Haha. Wait you mean that this win doesn't mean we will beat the Heat in a 7 game series regardless of whether Derrick Rose plays? What a buzz kill.
