  1. Yikes...I was looking at ESPN's Pickcenter, and for each team that have top 5 similar teams (since 2000). Michigan's 5 most similar teams: 2012 Missouri (2 seed that lost in first round) 2009 Florida (lost in 3rd round of NIT) 2001 Ohio State (5 seed lost in first round) 2007 West Virginia (won NIT) 2012 South Dakota St. (last year's version of the team we play in the first round....14 seed that lost in the first round) Those 5 teams have a combined 3 NCAA Tournament appearances (2 at-large) and 0 NCAA Tournament wins....yay
  2. Times are out....some of interest (ET) http://www.cbspressexpress.com/cbs-sports/releases/view?id=34919 Thursday: 12:15 (3) Michigan St. vs. (14) Valparaiso (CBS) 7:15 (4) Michigan vs. (13) South Dakota St. (CBS) Friday: 12:40 (5) Wisconsin vs. (12) Ole Miss (truTV) 4:10 (1) Indiana vs. (16) LIU/JMU (TBS) 4:40 (7) Illinois vs. (10) Colorado (TNT) 7:15 (2) Ohio St vs. (15) Iona (CBS) 9:20 (7) San Diego St. vs. (10) Oklahoma (TBS) 9:45 (7) Notre Dame vs. (10) Iowa St. (CBS) 9:50 (1) Kansas vs. (16) Western Kentucky (TNT) 9:57 (6) UCLA vs. (11) Minnesota (truTV)
  3. lol Dick Vitale has Michigan losing to Indiana in the Final 4
  4. Yeah...despite all the drama the last 2 weeks about all the crappy teams forced onto the bubble, a couple of teams played themselves in and a couple more played themselves out, making the bubble drama minimal going into the selection show.
  5. Interesting that Tennessee was the 5th team out. Lunardi had them as his 1st team out. Sucks for Iowa to know they were probably in if they werent jobbed against MSU
  6. they said Cal and Oregon were 11 seeds on the S-Curve but when bracketing they were forced to move them down to 12 seeds
  7. Hilarious...St. Louis was stuck in traffic leaving the Barclays Center and had to watch the selection show from a Best Buy somewhere in NJ. http://img.gawkerassets.com/img/18hst6zy1f31fjpg/ku-xlarge.jpg
  8. Was that stated somewhere? They're the 4 1 seeds in the NIT. How do you know that? http://www.policymic.com/articles/30098/nit-bracket-2013
  9. I just realized that if Michigan gets to the Sweet 16, they will be playing in Cowboys Stadium. I do not like the idea of Michigan playing another big game in that stadium.
  10. I have Louisville winning the title, but I paused for a minute picking SLU/Louisville when I did my first bracket a minute ago.
  11. (something like this) "We'll have more from our experts coming up after this" (heard off mic): We have experts here?
  12. Middle Tenn St was explained as in due to 'having a veteran team, that could win on the road and didn't have a rocky patch this season' I didn't know veteran teams and even play through the season had anything to do with the selection progress. Miami was 5 on the S-Curve and was 'very very close' to Gonzaga for a 1 seed.
  13. Ole Miss was in regardless of today's result Oregon and California were 11's on the seed list, but dropped while bracketing
  14. wow Indiana was the only #1 seed locked down going into the selection process.
  15. Indiana 1 Ohio State 2 Michigan State 3 Michigan 4 Wisconsin 5 Illinois 7 Minnesota 11 I think it was pretty even overall. Agreed. I think Indiana, Ohio State, Michigan State and Wisconsin are what I expected. Michigan I had as a 3 or 4, so maybe slighty underseeded. Illinois was an 8 or 9 to me. Minnesota a 10.
  16. No, one of them is ginger.
  17. No Kentucky or Tennessee
  18. Bruce Webber vs. Bo Ryan in the 3rd round
  19. OK what bubble teams are sweating it out right now? Boise St, LaSalle, Tennessee, Wichita St?
  20. 7 seed...impressive
  21. I think that yet again, this shows the committee is placing a huge emphasis on the conference tournament They were 6-6 in their last 12 games, their RPI dropped to the 20's, their SOS was in the 40's. I don't think it has a ton to do with the conference tourney. I would have had them as a 3 seed but I'm not surprised
  22. Doesnt surprise me at all...just happy they got an Auburn Hills draw. I thought they were a low 3 high 4 I'll take a SD St/VCU/Kansas/Georgetown potential path to the F4
  23. I'm stunned about Oregon still. Honestly I thought they might have been edging close to the bubble before the Pac 12 tourney, but a 12 seed is insane. They played their way into the field this weekend.
  24. Wow it looks like it was a good idea for Oregon to win the P-12 tourney
  25. Stars fans complaining about the amount of Hawks fans in the arena:
