    Are you sure you know?

It's not insane at all. And the fact that it's not insane to suggest that is...well, insane

Zach Miller wants Bennett suspended for a little longer
  4. UMFan83
Yup. Right during the only series with starters. Thanks FOX

Baez is 0-9 with 7 Ks when I'm watching or listening to his ABs
  6. UMFan83
Guaranteed more Javi! How about a 10th inning walk off for his first game at Wrigley
  7. UMFan83
So much for that low K rate

Still got more than I thought we would for Soriano
  9. UMFan83
Somehow it will still be Castro's fault. Or Aramis's

I'm getting these weird feelings......am...am I enjoying baseball again? Like not in a "surfing the daily minor league thread for a momentary splash of dopamine" kind of way. Like looking forward to watching and deriving legitimate pleasure from it.

    4 straight hits for Javi

Here comes Javier Baez, trying to extend his 2 AB home run streak

Also there seems to be a lot of moronic "who cares its the cubs theyve had hyped cant miss prospects for years and failed, remember felix pie, hehe?"
  14. UMFan83
this stuff is good. I just read the comment where he said his average in the minors for his career was .250 (actually .278) and OBP was .300 (actually .336). Also no one mentions that he was one of if not the youngest player in all of those leagues and is now the youngest player in the major leagues.

Good stuff. Now that Jim Hendry cant hurt us anymore, I say we embrace him for bringing us Javi.

Man this would be awesome Scherzer Hamels Arrieta Hendricks Turner Russell, SS Baez, 2B Rizzo, 1B Bryant, 3B Soler, RF Alcantara, CF Coughlan, LF Castillo, C Not going to do the pen which is loaded with quality arms. Depending on how quickly Russell and Bryant come up, and how quickly all the young guys adjust to the bigs that roster has 90 wins written all over it.

Fangraphs says that right now Turner profiles as a middle reliever: http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/instagraphs/a-reason-for-pessimism-about-jacob-turner/

seems like Arias would be a good guess
  19. UMFan83
assuming he's talking about Kane County and not Boise, and assuming he's not talking about Underwood, Blackburn, Tseng, and Torrez, and knowing that I don't know enough about the minor leagues to accurately guess Turner's value... Arias and Maples? One is a reliever who is 23 in low A with really good numbers, the other a guy who was highly regarded coming out of the draft but a huge disappointment as a pro.
  20. UMFan83
just saw that....thanks for providing no details Keith
  21. UMFan83
Still going to go to the game afterward? yeah whats the problem, you will still probably make it in time for Javi's second HR
  22. UMFan83
Bro you've got 1 more to go tonight to catch up to Javi
  23. UMFan83
Man watching that second HR, off the bat it looks like a gapper and then it lands well beyond the wall for a HR. Amazing
  24. UMFan83
    8.4
  25. UMFan83
