  1. Well then, nevermind. Last time I trust D2 hockey PA guys for news.
  2. Kane, Toews, Raanta and Crawford were the only Blackhawks to practice today. Looks like they will both be on the ice for game 1
  3. Probably the guy with the "most blocked" view. I meant the guy with the tweet His twitter calls him the PA announcer for NIU hockey, so obviously a super legit source. But in all seriousness he seems to have some sort of friendship/relationship with Tom Loxas. I'm just gasping for straws here with news on this.
  4. If we were still in the old format (but only 2 divisions getting 1-2 seeds instead of 3 divisions getting 1-2-3), the 5th seeded Hawks would be playing the 4th seeded Sharks, but only because the Blues won the tiebreaker over them (43 ROWs vs. 41) It would have been 1 Anaheim vs. 8 Dallas (same) 2 Colorado vs. 7 Minnesota (same) 3 St Louis vs. 6 Los Angeles (instead its SJ/LA) 4 San Jose vs. 5 Chicago (instead its STL/CHI) In the east 1 Boston vs. 8 Detroit (same) 2 Pittsburgh vs. 7 Columbus (same) 3 Tampa Bay vs. 6 Philadelphia (instead its TB/MTL) 4 Montreal vs. 5 New York Rangers (instead its NYR/PHI) So if SJ/STL and PHI/MTL swapped the matchups would be the same.
  5. Taking a look at some of the predictions on the web: Scott Burnside (ESPN): CBSsports.com: All 3 writers predict Hawks in 5 More to come...
  6. Thibs was there. He was already a prized coaching candidate when the Bulls passed him up and hired Vinny
  7. Not officially but they've both been skating and it has been stated repeatedly that they will be back.
  8. Entire R1 schedule: http://beta.thescore.com/nhl/news/480190
  9. For me it's a matter of me knowing the Bulls aren't going to win the title so I want them to get as far as they can possibly get which to me is the ECF. We had a lottery ticket with being set up to play Washington and Indiana instead of Brooklyn and Miami. Now they are split up and the road is tougher.
  10. Hawks playing Blues in Round 1 Game 1: Hawks at Blues, Thursday 4/17 7PM CT NBCSN Game 2: Hawks at Blues, Saturday 4/19 2PM CT NBC Game 3: Blues at Hawks, Monday 4/21 7:30PM CT CNBC Game 4: Blues at Hawks, Wednesday 4/23 8:30PM CT NBCSN Game 5: Hawks at Blues, Friday 4/25 7PM CT NBCSN* Game 6: Blues at Hawks, Sunday 4/27 2PM CT NBC* Game 7: Hawks at Blues, Tuesday 4/29 TBD* Let's repeat!
  11. Nevermind they announced the schedule for the Hawks at least. Game 2 will be Saturday http://voices.suntimes.com/sports/blackhawks-draw-plummeting-blues-in-first-round/
  12. I think i read game 1 will be Thursday so I'm guessing game 2 will be on Saturday or less likely but still possible Sunday. I don't think they will announce the full schedules until the regular season is over and there are still games today that haven't even started
  13. Yeah but the heat are back to back defending champs. Jordan's 3 peat teams had a similar down season for both their 3 peat attempts then won the title. Oh well. If we did play the heat we know it would at the very least be entertaining.
  14. Ima go: Ducks over Stars in 5 Kings over Sharks in 6 Avs over Wild in 7 Hawks over Blues in 6 Bruins over Wings in 7 Canadiens over Lightning in 7 Penguins over Jackets in 6 really tough games Flyers over Rangers in 5 I'm not ready to predict later rounds yet
  15. So Indiana all but locked up the 1 seed today. Do we prefer a Wizards/Heat route or Nets/Pacers?
  16. Hahaha you didn't sweep us Cardinals
  17. Well. At least we haven't been swept yet this year.
  18. Not sure if this is rehashed news as it's similar to stuff we've heard:
  19. yes, missed that, thanks. They would have to win and Colorado lose, as Colorado has the tie-breaker with ROW They are tied so St Louis could lose in a Shootout if Colorado loses in regulation.
  20. St. Louis can still win the division with 1 more point than Colorado tomorrow, leaving the Avs to play Chicago
  21. Really hope Raanta never has to play in the playoffs
  22. http://i.imgur.com/FKC3uvS.jpg #BFIB
  23. Rondon please
  24. Maybe I'm just a pessimist but despite all the fun the bulls aren't going to win or challenge for the title and to me it sucks playing in a very winnable east and realizing we could compete if our superstar wasn't missing his 3rd straight playoffs. And having won the cup last year and returning a similar roster, anything less than returning to the SCF is probably going to be a disappointment for Hawks fans. /pissing on cheerios I'll still enjoy both playoffs though.
