  1. Not sure if this has been posted but Sammy Sosa's 2 out 9th inning homer to tie G1 of the 2003 NLCS, with Pat Hughes' call.
  2. Be glad. I thought that the Bengals had a rather apathetic fan base, but my ears were ringing from hearing their yokel fans telling "WHO DEY, WHO DEY, WHO DEY SAY GONNA BEAT DEM BENGALS" in my ears for 4 hours. I think because Bears fans travel so well, home fans feel threatened and really let our fans hear if if/when they win/dominate. I went to that game, they weren't that bad, compared to how some Bears fans treat opposing fans at Soldier Field. Although their rather strong redneck accent was quite annoying. Who Dey had to be stolen from the Saints Who Dat? I left at halftime and got back to Chicago two hours quicker than I thought. You left at halftime....the fans continued to drink and get more aggressive as the game went on. After the game, I saw Bengals fans picking fights with Bears fans. One fight I saw a Bears fan get shoved to the ground by 3 Bengals fans, that Bears fan got up and ran to a police officer for help, the police officer shoved him to the ground and cuffed him. Great times.
  3. Sorry, I thought it was clear that when I said memorable I meant memorable in favor of the Cubs. That Royals Wild Card game was bonkers and full of memories. The Cubs have what? -Woods double in G1 vs. Braves 2003 -Aramis Grand Slam G4 vs. Marlins 2003 -Cubs homerfest G2 vs. Marlins 2003 -Randall Simon HR G3 vs. Marlins 2003 -Huge 1st inning in G2 vs. Giants in 1989 -Sutcliffe HR in G1 vs. Padres in 1984 Nothing from 1998, 2007, 2008 You might include Wood's HR in G7 2003 or Sosa's HR in G1 2003 but those were both in losses so [expletive] them.

  5. I hate Bears road games. The last (only) 2 I went to were 2009 in Cincinnati (Bears lost 45-10) and last year in Detroit (Bears lost 40-32, but it was 40-16 midway through the 4th). Both times, the fans really enjoyed letting us Bears fans hear it on the way out.
  6. It almost annoys me how easy its been. Since the last time they've made the playoffs, we've made it 5 times, were swept out of them 3 times, won 1 game another time and suffered a devastating collapse the other time. They waltz in after not making it for almost 30 years, right off the bat have a game with more memorable moments than the Cubs entire postseason history since 1908 (maybe hyperbole), sweep through the division series and are about to sweep through the LCS to make the World Series. Teams like the Royals are among the few teams that have been less relevant than the Cubs in my lifetime, and to see them likely breeze into the world series is slightly frustrating. At the same time I'm still rooting for them.
  7. So many tweets with the words Choate and Choad in them.
  8. I'd hate him more if he didn't get picked off to end a World Series game last year.
  9. Hah, Bill Simmons is posting his first "Bill and Jalen's NBA Preview" at 12:01 AM ET tomorrow, one minute after his suspension is over.
  10. In terms of the Pats game it looks like Ridley and Mayo are out for the year.
  11. Full grades: http://i.imgur.com/XppJsQ4.jpg http://i.imgur.com/SHae1B8.jpg http://i.imgur.com/LIIYWf0.jpg ROFL Mills at -6.1
  12. yeah i mentioned here yesterday during the game that I saw projections as high as 3rd round
  13. PFF preview of their grades: Cutler was the highest graded QB in Week 6
  14. I believe I saw the line open up as Bears -3.5. The next 2 games after this one (with a bye inbetween) are @ New England and @ Green Bay, so the Bears should really do themselves a favor and win this one.
  15. Jeez, Cleveland might actually turn the corner here. They are 3-2, and the combined record of their next 3 opponents is 1-16 (at JAX, vs. OAK, vs TB).
  16. Amazing play. Would have been another 0 point drive due to time management. Mills completely whiffed a block on a play where he could do anything but whiff a block and give up a sack. A holding call and it's still a very makeable FG. just had to note that there were several holding calls on the Falcons after Cutler hit him in the nuts.
  17. So with another big day yesterday, my main fantasy team now leads the league in points scored. Unfortunately, I am only 2-4 overall and in 10th place (out of 12 teams) after this weeks games. How does that happen? I guess the 1.5 point and 3.5 point losses earlier in this year don't help. Luckily 8 teams make the playoffs, and the leagues #4-9 teams are all 3-3, so with another win I could really shoot up in the standings.
  18. So did Sharpton jump DJ Williams on the depth chart or does he have a multiple week injury?
  19. Man...there's nothing quite like a safety that's frequently concussed and with two bad shoulders. Can't beat it. He's played really well though. Seems like a good time to get him a couple weeks off. Can't keep letting him go out there and get hurt every week. Give him thru the bye week to heal up. If he can keep toughing it out and its not effecting his play enough to be worse than Vareen, I put him out there the next 2 weeks. I think we especially could use him against NE and the GB after the bye.
  20. I think you should be mad at your league's scoring. How the hell did the Eagles D score 30 in your league without a defensive TD, and only 1 turnover? My league is the same. 12 points for allowing 0 points, 2 points per sack, 2 points per turnover
  21. Once you know you can get a timeout whenever you want due to some fake ass mound issue you use that to your advantage.
  22. He was probably salivating at the thought of the baseball Giants losing on the next pitch so he could tie the 2 Giants losses together.
  23. Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha
