    Really impressed with the Bulls last night. I know its only the Knicks, but damn did they make it look easy. Rose and Noah only play just over 20 minutes and you are winning by 35 on the road in the 4th quarter? Awesome. Looking forward to a nice challenge against the Cavs tomorrow. Cavs will be on a back to back and playing in Chicago, so hopefully that offsets Jimmy being out...Dunleavy did a fine job on Anthony, but I'm less confident in his ability to defend LeBron.

For what it's worth, that edit was to clarify that I was using "done deal" colloquially, not as synonymous with "official" (the edit happened within minutes - I was typing the original post very quickly and trying to think very quickly). I didn't want folks to think this was being "announced" by the Cubs on the day of Game 7. The rest of the post probably made that clear, but I wanted to make absolutely certain since sometimes isolated sections of posts are snipped out for discussion. EDIT: What I mean is, I don't think that was a substantive edit. That's what the updates are. I added a note to the intro on the post to indicate there have been edits. Thanks for clarifying Brett

    I think after the first couple of games, we have a pretty soft schedule to start the year. Definitely can hold the fort down until Butler comes back. I'm just disappointed because I really want Butler and Rose to get comfortable playing with each other. The last time Rose was really playing (minus the 10 games last year) Butler was a rookie who barely played. Yeah definitely pretty soft. Here is the pre-West Coast trip schedule: @ NY vs. CLE @ MIN vs. ORL @ MIL @ PHI vs. BOS vs. DET @ TOR vs. IND

    Let me just say that I love Caris Levert and I think he's primed to take a leap, but I'm surprised at how much the national media has picked up on it. #9 player in college basketball ahead of guys like Aaron Harrison, Selden, Tyus Jones, Staten and Moore? Not bad for a lightly regarded 3* guy out of high school

    Raanta in the doghouse? Yeah that's weird. Q said after the skate just that he had earned another start. So I guess I'll take it at face value. Not like Raanta has been bad. They probably just want to take another look at Darling before they send him back down. I really don't think they are seriously thinking about replacing Raanta.

    Yeah I was going to say, I am thinking $1,000, but I'm probably just guessing. My only experience in going to championship round games was going to game 2 of the 2010 Cup Finals for the Hawks. To get in the door there, it "only" cost me $300, but the Cubs fan base is larger than the Hawks, baseball is more popular and mainstream than hockey in Chicago, and the historical significance of the event would case that number to be much higher.

    Portland would be better, but then you have Portland in the AL East. Easy. Move Detroit to the AL East, Houston to the AL Central, and Portland to the AL West. Detroit has ties to the AL East (pre-realignment) and Houston is the new AL member and has ties to playing in a central division
