Started the other NHL thread, might as well start this one. I don't see a lot of excitement for the season to start other than people saying it in relation to the Bears disappointing season to date. It's probably because nothing matters except health before the playoffs. Last year proved it, as the Hawks was sluggish at times during the regular season, only finished 3rd in the division and then turned up the gas when the playoffs started. In the end, they were basically an unlucky bounce away from winning their second straight Cup and 3rd in 5 seasons. So fellow Hawks fans, what should we be excited about for the regular season? Maybe its the fact that barring a jump in the cap, this might be the final Hawks run for a guy like Sharp or Seabrook, meaning without a quick retooling we might take a step back after this season. Maybe hoping/looking forward to Teuvo forcing himself on the roster and becoming a key contributor to the team. Maybe its just about appreciating how you have at worst one of the 3 best teams in hockey and get to watch them play every other night.
