  1. Me too but I think a lot has to do with Jo not being 100%. Jo, Gasol and Taj are all above average rebounders and I believe the Bulls over the last couple of years have been among the better teams in the league in rebounding rate. They will probably get it together.
  2. In my league there is a guy who is absolutely dominating the league right now and just traded for Calvin Johnson and has Adrian Peterson and Josh Gordon chilling on his bench waiting for their returns. He's going to be starting AP, Forte and Lynch at RB in the playoffs with Calvin, Maclin and Josh Gordon at WR
  3. Bears and Bulls are a combined 5-2 on the road and 0-4 at home
  4. Lose another one despite out shooting them by 20...
  5. Twitter comments are great. One person was complaining that the Cubs didn't interview any minorities before hiring Maddon
  6. The Lions were caught tampering with the Chiefs a few years ago and I believe the compensation was a 7th rounder and they swapped picks in the 5th round. Not really an identical situation but there just aren't a lot of examples out there.
  7. In case you are wondering why the Cubby Bear, wrigley field is unavailable bc of renovations
  8. yeah really weird. you have to think if they are really still negotiating, announcing Ricky's firing really kills their leverage. Come on. You really think they're firing Renteria if they don't have Maddon locked down? That's ridiculous. No I don't think that, that's why I think its weird that the moves (firing Ricky, hiring Maddon) weren't announced at the same time. "Jesus, Tom; I was just speculatin' about a hypothesis!" Miller's Crossing reference ftw!
  9. Of course NYC has 20 million people in its metro area (albeit split between 2 teams) and Tampa has 2.7 (and half are probably transplants that support another team)
  10. In a very short period they lost Price, Friedman, and Maddon. Not to mention their park is a [expletive] hole. Gotta be a tough time to be a Rays fan after the last few years success. Yup that stadium is terrible, the only time I've been there was when the cubs played there a few years ago haven't been back. It's like a giant Highschool gymnasium, a terrible place to watch baseball. They could draw fans but not in that dump. not only that but isn't the location really inconvenient for people who live in Tampa (the larger part of the metro population)? Something like only 1 bridge from Tampa to St. Pete. At the same time, these are all excuses...a 90+ win team with likable players should be able to draw decently.

  13. stfu and let us do whatever we want rays, we haven't won the world series in 106 years...we should be given first dibs on all managers/players and spotted 10 games in the standings every year.
  14. Butler has slid two years in a row, not sure how much bounce back he has in him. Rumors on sports radio here is they are listening on Gordon, Hosmer, and Moustakas. Would love to get Gordon, but imagine they rightfully have a high value on him. Mooose tacos isn't very good and hosmer is ok, but i can't imagine they'll get much of a haul for him. I still think Hosmer is more like the 2013 version than the 2014 version. The 2013 Hosmer is not bad.
  15. Good riddance.
  16. I'd be really concerned about where this leaves Renteria, especially in the eyes of the players. Meh, they will get over it. Theo would explain that they love Ricky, but they had a chance to get one of the highest regarded managers in baseball and went for it. They might have to put their money where their mouth is and extend Ricky for an extra year or two though.
