I don't think it's a good idea to ever sell out for one player even Gurley. The first few play calls took advantage of that and threw the Bears completely off rhythm. They adjusted and then Gurley in turn gashed them on the ground. Bears are 1 step behind

I think the only way ND gets into the title game now is if Clemson loses the ACC title game. Even then, it might be tough. Oklahoma/OK State, Iowa/OSU/MSU, Alabama/Florida should get the other 3 spots. I wouldn't say it's the only way. OK State and Oklahoma still have Baylor/TCU and each other on the schedule. Agreed on the Big Ten. Obviously an outside shot Michigan messes everything up bc if OSU wins at home against Sparty, they control the rest of their destiny to win the Big Ten but they'd have to win at Happy Valley, against OSU who has never lost a regular season Big Ten game with Urban Meyer as coach and against Iowa with a playoff spot at stake for them. And yeah the SEC champ will get the 3rd spot unless Florida loses to FSU then turns around and beat Bama (and even then a 2 loss SEC champ might get in over a 1 loss ND because SEC) Edit: long rambling post to say that I still think the Big 12s spot is in jeopardy because I could see ND getting in over any of the teams at 1 loss except probably OU

When Michigan scored in 2OT I said there was no way UM was getting the ball back. Either they would somehow stop IU (I was thinking TO) or the Hoosiers were gonna score and go for 2. Mad props to IU, good game

I'm gonna have nightmares of Indiana gashing the Michigan defense for awhile.

They've had a few injuries and the lack of depth has hurt them a little.

I'm pretty sure that not one opposing fan base has enjoyed watching their team play Indiana this year. Even the Penn State game they were within a score until less than a minute left in the 3rd quarter.

Michigan should be interesting this year. Last year they were struggling and that was before 2 of their best 3 players were lost for the season (LaVert and Walton). They still struggled when those guys went down but a bunch of guys that werent expected to be big factors stepped up and they were pretty competitive in just about every game. They probably would have made the NIT if Northwestern didn't hit like 6 improbable 3's in a double OT loss towards the end of the year. Now pretty much everyone is back along with a random German dude and everyone has them as a 4-8 seed in the tourney. I think its possible they get to that point but not a certainty.

I did look at their schedule so far and they've played 2 game they've against the Clippers, Spurs, Rockets and Thunder. The Rockets game was a 20 points blowout, but the Clippers game was a 4 point win in Oakland.

Weird that I didn't see a thread created already. The Warriors are really good and might beat 72-10.

Need to figure out if this early season sluggishness is because of injuries, because they are pacing themselves or if they just aren't as good and as deep as previous years. Just sucks because that game should have at least gotten them a point but a penalty and a goal immediately conceded on the PK and it's a regulation loss.

Those would be some good match ups if they ended this way (which they of course won't) ND/Clemson rematch from this season and Bama/OSU rematch from last years playoff
