  1. It just dawned on me how the ending of the Pats-Broncos game was similar to the end of the Bears-Broncos game earlier this year. yesterday, Pats down 20-12 in the 4th, had 4th down within FG range twice, and failed to convert both times instead of kicking a FG, ended up scoring a TD with seconds remaining but failed the 2 point conversion and couldn't recover the onside kick In December, Bears were down 17-9 in the 4th, had a 4th down within FG range once, failed to convert instead of kicking a FG, scored a TD with seconds remaining but failed the 2 point conversion and didn't recover onside kick. Doesn't mean anything but thought it was mildly interesting enough to draw the parallel between the 2 games against the same team.
  2. Washington and Miami are garbage. Agreed however Washington and especially their bigs always seem to give the Bulls problems. I have no idea about Miami as the Bulls haven't played them this year and have yet to play them with Dragic, Bosh, Wade and Whiteside all playing but they seem to be your average run of the mill Eastern Conference team
  3. Maybe. Everyone thought New England was going to kill Denver too. Denver's D really impressed me today. I knew it was great, but they way they were able to consistently get to Brady was really impressive. I think Carolina is certainly playing extremely well and should definitely be the favorites but I'm not counting Denver out at this point.
  4. Dammit I thought I was on fire with my posting lately.
  5. I am a sucker for "grizzled veteran surviving on pure guile gets one last shot at glory" stories so I am glad the Broncos won.
  6. This team is so unbelievably confusing. After some games I wonder if the whole thing is going to collapse and they struggle to make the playoffs. Then a night like tonight I start thinking Dunleavy plus improved Niko and suddenly we can make the Finals.
  7. Boring
  8. Unfair comparison based on 30 seconds of research: another Brandon Pirri? Dude can skate fast but what other skills does he have? The ability to be a free agent next year/open up cap space is probably his greatest talent for this team. Yeah I'm sure the fact that the cap is likely going down more than expected yet again played a major factor.
  9. Good question. Part of me tries to put it out of my mind and almost rationalize that since he wasn't charged I can't just think of him as a rapist, but it can't help but think about it whenever his name is brought up. I am certainly not mad or upset when he scores, but im probably not buying his jersey for my kids or myself even.

  11. Would prefer to have everything in one place but if it makes it easier on you that's fine. Maybe I'll reinvent myself as a competent poster.
  12. Can you get it so notifications are only for posts liked and PMs? I would be ok with also getting notifications when you are quoted.
  13. You crossed off getting the archives online. Am I missing them somewhere? Edit: never mind found it

  15. If you get the board archives up any chance you can get the pre-2005 archives as well?

  17. Seriously though, I know you have to do a lot to keep up the site, it is much appreciated.
  18. Better than nothing. Thanks Tim!
  19. Makes me sad that we might have seen Jo in a Bulls uniform for the last time
  20. Yeah I think Soler's upside is high enough to give him the starting RF spot. If he hits well the Cubs can maximize his trade value at the deadline to improve the team if a better defensive/OBP fit is desired or keep him. If he hits like last year the Cubs still have more than enough assets to swing a deal to improve RF at the deadline.
  21. I was mad that the CSN camera didn't capture the interaction between the 2 when Martinez was going down the line greeting the former Cubs.
  22. BP Wrigleyville is looking for new writers. I nominate TT to apply for the job.
  23. So this happened... http://www.mlb.com/images/9/8/8/162091988/011516_lackey_dempster_chicken_mid_res_pgh5sn5r.gif
  24. Cleanup in aisle 3 mods
  25. They are really good but I don't think Valentine is 100% yet and they clearly aren't the same team without him at his best. All that said, Iowa looks really good and I am not looking forward to the potential ass kicking in Iowa City tomorrow with or without Levert.
