  1. That and he had an entire offseason to get to know the team he would be coaching. I honestly think its just him having a senior moment, of which he's had plenty lately.
  2. he done lost his mind
  3. I'm sick of hearing them talk about it. My unfounded fear is that Theo wants to wait until the end of the season and if the Cubs win the World Series he will leave. I hope he doesn't but I remember his thing about staying in one place too long when he signed on with the Cubs.
  4. More from Pace (he's speaking at the Combine) [tweet] [/tweet] Can't wait to read one day how 38 year old Shea McClellen's best days are ahead of him despite not being on an active roster for the better part of a decade
  5. [tweet] [/tweet] I don't like where this is headed as I don't think there is any leverage gained in negotiations by threatening to let him go to FA. Edit: I will say that I took the scarier of the 2 tweets. The one before said that the Bears are actively negotiating with Alshon
  6. i was driving in and heard it and i couldn't stop myself from texting in I almost drove off the road when they came to the conclusion that the Cubs gained 10 spots in the draft by signing Heyward and letting Fowler go.
  7. Bruce Levine just said it Gallardo doesn't sign the Cubs get the 14th pick in the draft. thank you score baseball expert
  8. I watched a little bit of the game on Sunday. Seemed like he was driving to the rim a lot more which obviously is what you want to see from him. It is interesting that he seems to have started looking like the old Rose again once Butler went out. I'm sure part of it is coincidental based on him finally getting over the face injury.
  9. Yes that inning changed me from being thinking "omg the Cardinals are going to pixie dust us into a series win" into "we're gonna win this thing" *prays I didnt say anything stupid in the game threads to dispute this* I was at Busch for that. Their fans were in full incredulous meltdown mode to the tune of "How can the CUBS do THIS to US?" I can only imagine. Things go to script for decades and then all the sudden they don't and its jarring.
  10. hmm and what is the thing that the White Sox and Bulls have in common? (Besides their little academy)
  11. it'll be kinda anticlimactic for me on that end. i don't think that can get better than watching their reaction to literally getting donged into space in the playoffs. this x100
  12. Yes that inning changed me from being thinking "omg the Cardinals are going to pixie dust us into a series win" into "we're gonna win this thing" *prays I didnt say anything stupid in the game threads to dispute this*
  13. I don't know why they aren't trading Votto. He's 32 but still probably has the most value of anyone on last years Reds and because of his age isn't going to be on the next good Reds team
  14. Yup, 1-3 now. And Jan 2, 2017 another at Busch Stadium. I have complete outdoor game fatigue. I didn't even watch yesterday, just followed on my phone just like any other game where I had something to do during it. And now another one? Blah. It is fun watching Wild and now Blues fans get excited about their outdoor games while Hawks fans are completely indifferent.
  15. [tweet] [/tweet]
  16. [tweet] [/tweet] Jesus, does he have a back injury or ALS?
  17. Matt Murton, Manny Parra, David Ross. Now we just need a 2007 Cardinal and Pirate to complete the collection.
  18. I know, I googled it too after I called. It wasn't up there last week, so I called this morning. Believe what you want. [tweet] [/tweet] this was tweeted last week This has been on the tickets tab from the cubs website http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/ticketing/index.jsp?c_id=chc http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/chc/images/ticketing/y2016/320x325_chc_sgt16.jpg His AOL dial up subscription takes too long to load fancy images or tweets. If it ain't in text, he's rushing to his phone.
  19. Really? You called Wrigley Field for this information? With a phone? http://media.mnn.com/assets/images/2015/07/hulton-archive.jpg.653x0_q80_crop-smart.jpg
  20. And using 2014 as their reasoning.
  21. Things the Hawks are not good at: outdoor games Things the Hawks are good at: everything else
  22. 2 wins any way will do it. I don't know. Wins over Northwester and someone like Penn State in BTT would leave me very nervous. At that point they could be looking at an RPI around 60, SOS in the 70s and a 3-11 record against the RPI top 100. I don't know too many at large teams that get in with 3 top 100 wins. Of course i tend to be annoying pessimistic at times so maybe I'm wrong
  23. Agghhh if we won that we'd likely make the tournament. As it is I think UM has to win 2 more and a BTT game to feel relatively safe.
  24. Take FWIW [tweet] [/tweet]
