  1. Jake for 4th starter in playoffs ha
  2. Someone on Twitter said his average FB today is 92 mph
  3. 1 2 and 3 might lose and Michigan might drop from 4 even if they win based on how they are playing today lol
  4. Also, umm so much for my top 3 teams lose and UM is #1. No way Louisville doesn't basically take FSUs spot or at the very least #3 behind Bama and OSU
  5. Iowa loses to (very good) FBS team, Wisconsin was trailing in the 4th against Georgia state but won, Rutgers and Penn state both in close games late. Gooooo Big Ten?
  6. I keep seeing them compare 2006 and 2011 to this year.
  7. Lmao Crul interviews Rizzo Rizzo: Is this Beer Money? And then he asked her a beer money like question (who hit the walk off hr on Mother's Day)
  8. Does Kris Bryant have to put some sort of mask around his mouth so he can continue to never have a sip of alcohol in his life?
  9. He will almost certainly be the starting catcher at this point. He's even doing much better behind the plate in terms of blocking pitches, not as much with his arm,.
  10. Have you watched Soler play defense lately? Like it or not this team is successful in the 2nd half largely because of pitching, defense, and the ability to be selective at the plate. Overall the hitting has dropped off a bit in the 2nd half (about 45 point drop in OPS from the 1st half), and has especially dropped off in september (.660's team OPS), but the Cubs keep winning because they are pitching lights out and playing great defense. Javy has been a huge part of that as Joe has moved him around the IF depending on where he would be most useful on that particular day. Now the hitting still has a huge ceiling and can absolutely get hot like they did last year, but if they don't you're going to want the monumental upgrade that Javy gives you over Soler in the field.
  11. and that's why Javy has a -2 wRC+ for his career in high leverage situations. Was thrown 6 balls in 7 pitches in that AB, 5 of them not particularly close.
  12. Javy up, well we know the walkoff walk is off the table. Wild pitch? Grounder that sneaks through?
  13. Is JD suggesting a squeeze with a force play available at home? haha
  14. Its a small part that, also Joe trying to aid addys quest for 100 RBIs, plus trying to help him erase a bad night last night.
  15. He missed a juicy one for strike 1
  16. Come on Russell, keep being clutch
  17. A Kawasaki walkoff double would be probably the greatest thing ever
  18. Nope, crapbag extraordinaire Seal Boy is up to hit into a double play or something
  19. horsefeathers i thought Almora tied the game off the bat
  20. COME ON WALKOFF WIN TO START THE CELEBRATION
  21. Possibly, but this is also technically his first full season in the bigs and he's 23 years old. Does that mean he's going to all the sudden fix several glaring holes in his approach? Maybe not. But I think Theo and especially Joe really really appreciate his defense and versatility and identify it as a reason we have historic BABIP numbers as a staff. Given that elite skill set, I think the FO will pull out all the stops to attempt to make him into an adequate offensive player and is willing to risk damaging any trade value as an asset to see it through.
