Have you watched Soler play defense lately? Like it or not this team is successful in the 2nd half largely because of pitching, defense, and the ability to be selective at the plate. Overall the hitting has dropped off a bit in the 2nd half (about 45 point drop in OPS from the 1st half), and has especially dropped off in september (.660's team OPS), but the Cubs keep winning because they are pitching lights out and playing great defense. Javy has been a huge part of that as Joe has moved him around the IF depending on where he would be most useful on that particular day. Now the hitting still has a huge ceiling and can absolutely get hot like they did last year, but if they don't you're going to want the monumental upgrade that Javy gives you over Soler in the field.
