  1. Gotta admit this dude is pitching well. He's not making a ton of mistakes over the plate.
  2. Lot of high stress innings. I wonder if Joe only gives him 1 more inning because after that is the heart of the order for the third time and they've hit him well for the most part
  3. Yeah I've noticed the broadcasts have been on a few second delay since the NLCS
  4. Especially because of how good Tomlins control is. If he can paint the expanded zones corners it will be tough
  5. This crowd is awesome. I think winning the pennant finally got the fan base to stop waiting for something to go wrong.
  6. Yeah seriously is this like the baseball version of cuckolding? "Hey Ryan look how much better this guy is at pitching playoff games than you"
  7. Lmao. Beyond just the obvious flub of that fly ball is he initially calling off the imaginary Deep Leftfielder or is he feeling for the wall about 40 feet from the warning track?
  8. He's also been very active in the community pretty much his entire time he's been here, and has moved to Chicago permanently despite having no ties to the area. I haven't really ever heard a bad word said about him off the field either. I thought his wife was from Chicago Quiet you.
  9. The bold pretty much addresses this. There's no massive PR work. No one has to do horsefeathers. And the idea that Kerry Wood might be swinging a big dick around Chicago right now strikes me as funny. Kerry is about to go from favorite son to guy that threw a great meaningless game once. agree to disagree the 20k, winning NLDS, homerun in playoffs and return from injury as solid closer along with stating he felt he owed the team money already cemented his future. The fact that he has so aggressively celebrated this team can only solidify his reputation. 10. http://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/tix/5850925550.html Selling for face value ($150). Need to pick up within an hour, will show proof of STH Another one, call quickly Edit: Also if you get it, I get to buy the other ticket from you for face
  11. There are a lot like that (well not $200 but closer to 500-600) I've been in the shoes before of having to dump tickets to a high demand game. I bought tickets to the Rockies WS back in 07 to sell them. I denied offers of 4k for 4 tickets (had a combined face of 1k) because i saw similar seats selling for 6k. Finally the prices plunged and I just wanted to get rid of them. Ended up selling for $2500. Some people start panicking when game time approaches and just want to get whatever they can for them. I agree the $199 for 1 SRO ticket is probably fake but I think you can get in the door for $500 if you are smart. I am dumb, how does one be "smart" In this specific scenario, don't fall for obvious scams like sellers who ask for you to Venmo the money before they email you the ticket, etc.
  12. Do you think my wife would notice $1,000 missing from our checking account? Edit: Also me not coming home tonight?
