  1. Chris Cotilo also got a job based on twitter. Not sure whether he had actual sources though. He for sure did. He would break legit news at the Winter Meetings while still a teenager and had the respect of his.......well not peers, but of the industry. On the other hand, it's an embarrassment that the best Cubs message board in the world has given Cat so much pub this offseason. That's something a Brewers board would do. Yeah, but the attention was in a "I can't look away from this trainwreck" type of gaze, which is basically what this thread is all about, right?
  2. Put it on the booooaaaaaarrrrddddddddd YES!!!!!
  3. Ever since he inexplicably tried to simultaniously argue both that the Cubs broke Heyward and that pre-Cubs Heyward is the same as Cubs' Heyward, he's been in a mood. it's so unfortunate that i went to all the trouble of speaking to you in that thread and yet you still failed completely at reading comprehension I'm rubber and yer glue, dood.
  4. Someone give me odds on whether or not he's talking about someone who actually exists outside of his head. I'll lay you 10-1 (He's talking about IMB)
  5. Ever since he inexplicably tried to simultaniously argue both that the Cubs broke Heyward and that pre-Cubs Heyward is the same as Cubs' Heyward, he's been in a mood.
  6. Did you stop? I gave him a look like "What do you want me to do?" and took half a step into the other guy standing next to me, and I guess that was enough to satisfy his bloodlust.
  7. I haven't been to Chicago very often, but one of the few times I went a guy on a very crowded bus threatened to stab me if I didn't stop standing behind him. I've lived in and been to a lot of shaddy cities, but a stab threat was a first for me. Respect Chicago!
  8. All in nickels and pennies, I hope?
  9. Most especially with the Nats signing Dozier today. That line is crazy.
  10. Under on the Brewers. I definitely agree with that, but didn't say it because some people around here get very sore about the whole dismissing the Brewers thing. Then they can bet up the over so I can take Brewers under 85.
  11. I just automatically like anything that includes "Todd Bonzalez" in it.
  12. Man, Brandon McCarthy is the man. One of my good friends graduated from HS with him. Knowing the area that he grew up in, the rich part of Colorado Springs, its doubly impressive how cool he is. I guess its where he got his sh1t talk chops from.
  13. This is nothing at all like what we piled on you for. This statement is almost completely unrelated to what you said earlier.
  14. This is PRECISELY how Mormons operate. Ever been to a Mormon Dance?
  15. Makes sense. In that article by Melisa she stated that Jessica was one of her best friends in the Cubs wives circle. Under the potentially lazy assumption that the Harpers and the Bryants agree on most things, it kinda takes away from the argument that we are trying to not piss off Boras and screw up any Harper negotiation. The fact that they are pissing each other off is a good sign, imo. It means they are negociating.
  16. I've seen it too, and I can't get myself to read through any of the Addison apologist/men's rights activist [expletive] all over the horsefeathering place. Hell, I'm someone who used to regularly watch Fox News, and even occasionally stomach visits to dark places on the web such as The Daily Stormer, simply to educate myself more about how the full spectrum of morons to monsters view the world and craft their arguments. I can't get myself to have exchanges with the garbage people anymore. Yeah, that stuff is no good for you. I feel like I can get a decent idea of how horrible people can by just living life. No need to seek it out. Hell, a co-worker's husband decided the Christmas party was a great place to decry homosexuality. I barely got out of there without the Mrs taking a swing at him. I was kinda proud of her, but still.
  17. I'm curious how many will do this on this board. It would be a hell of a statement. A statement? Yeah, I can just imagine the headlines now... I think it basically just comes down to your own personal conscience and sanity. Btw, anyone know a good tat removal service?
  18. You're assuming that we all also watch the NBA or the NFL. You're also acting like this (domestic abuse) isn't a "common occurrence" in baseball. You're also acting like simply watching a game automatically means someone is making money for a team. Basically your priorities in all of this are calling out the people fed up with it as opposed to the abhorrent human being the Cubs are willfully employing as a player. Sorry to assume you guys watch other sports in between posting. Baby momma #2 isn't talking about domestic abuse at all. Don't make that leap. She's mad she got paid in small bills and quarters and that Russell isn't in the babies life. The domestic abuse "occurrences" in football are on another level compared to baseball. What is it about the NHL that allowed it to get a pass? Hmmm. HMMMMMMMMMMM.
