    Telling someone to grow up? Sammys advice was dead on and your response proved it. You sound a little triggered. But while we are back on the subject of telling people to compartmentalize their opinions of how the world works as if there is some kind of virtue in that...I mean, constantly harping on politics all the time can obviously get tiring, but pretending that walling off how certain things in our lives effect others is foolish at the least, and possibly dangerous. I especially disliked the part of Boombox's screed where he ends it with "can't do anything about it anyways." Well, at the very least, you can bitch to people on the internet about it, but be it politics or sport fandom, there are multiple obvious things to be done about it. If some guy on the internet finds it convenient to his lifestyle it to walk around with blinders about its different aspects, it doesn't follow that I should do the same, or that I should even respect it. Boombox is happy and fancies himself noble because he chooses to ignore negatives aspects of the world at his convenience. How nice.

    No, you need to grow up. Also, it's fun to have a team that buys talented players. It's not fun to have them choose profit over said talented players. How do you know they are choosing profit over talented players?

    Let's be real, Rodgers has a gorgeous face. But, apart from Devonte and Jones hes playing with a bunch of has-beens and nobodies, and his O-Line is sporting 3 back ups. If the Packers score more than 13 I'd be stunned.

    If it makes you feel any better, when I was living in Maryland I was voted MVP of my soccer team by my teammates, but the coach wasn't happy about that because his kid was on the team. At the end of the year, my trohpy said "Goalie" on it, even though I only played one half of a game at goal, and the coach's kid's trophy said "Top Goal Scorer." Completely hillarious petty stuff.

    I think it is more likely than not that Baez has another 5 WAR season, but I do think the over under on any particular season should probably be just over 3.

    Maybe they said we'l give you $40,000,000 per year while you wait for the young core to gel. Well yeah, that’s kinda my point. If they think the young core is a major selling point they aren’t getting him. They’re going to have to probably give him the most money (likely significantly more than anyone else). If Bryant is as much of a plus for the Cubs' chances of getting Harper as we assume he is, then the Sox playing in the same metro has to count for something, right?

    He was accused of other stuff other than physical abuse, at the very least he cheated on his wife. Let he amung us who hasn't cheated on his wife throw the first left hook (at his wife).

    The idea of this place being an echo chamber merely because most of us fans dislike serial domestic abusers and bigotry, when most everyone spends all their time here trying to make hay out of inaccuracies in others' hot takes (be the topic baseball, music, or toilet preferences), is a new breed of steamy hot take. =D>

    I dunno, I'm worried they're gonna blow all their money on Harper and take themselves out on Arenado. It might take them out of a backup C, backup SS, and 2-3 relief pitchers too. ...is this green font or is this insane?

    Not a super exciting profile. His best tool is his arm and apparently scouts aren't impressed with his bat. So he's David Ross? Is he also an awful teammate? I'd rather he was Marmol.
