  1. I did, but I was watching the game at my dad's place. I am the horsefeathering game thread GOD. BBT could only exist in a godless world.
  2. That's true, but I feel that Schwarber is a guy like Rizzo, where as Zagunis is not a guy like Rizzo. Schwarber is not a “guy” like Rizzo. Zagunis is not a lefty. Your words are broken. What I was trying to say is that Zagunis sucks and Schwarber is exactly the kind of player that can juice a dong against this lefty loser.
  3. What a second, isn't Joe into advanced metrics and what not? If so, why isn't Schwarber at DH? Because there's selection bias in those splits. He doesn't see very many left handed hitters, and the few that he does see are guys like Rizzo who are going to skew the stats. That's the idea, anyway. It's certainly possible he jut has reverse splits, but I'm way to lazy to do any real digging into this. That's true, but I feel that Schwarber is a guy like Rizzo, where as Zagunis is not a guy like Rizzo.
  4. To pour salt on the wound: https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/split.fcgi?id=minormi01&t=p&year=2018
  5. He has opening day glory attached to him, so he's easy for me to remember.
  6. Am I the only one with the stomach to watch the Nurkic injury? I'll warn that the injury is about as bad of a leg injury I've ever seen. Only the blood involved in that March Madness leg break a few years ago compares. But then, as he's lying screaming on the ground, like something out of a Loaded Gun script, the ref tries to step over him and trips on Nurkic's ankle, which is held to his leg only by skin and tendons. He seems completely oblivious to what happened despite the fact his leg breaking was audible to the entire stadium.
  7. I think you found the only way for me to root against the Cubs: BBT gifs. Although, it might be fun to scream "Bazinga!" after a Bryant HR at the Wisconsin-themed bar I'll be watching Opening Day from.
  8. God damn, Neil is the man.

  10. Ha. I used to play there. I never played again after one game lasting several years...a game that I pretty sure CCP was involved in. I'm guessing it was a progressive bonus game? Those are the worst.
  11. Thanks! I don't get to follow the team as closely as I used to. I still am around a decent amount, but don't feel like my opinions are informed enough at this point to be of any value. That's the hard thing about baseball, it's hard to have a middle ground between casual fan overreacting to the last thing they saw and super informed fan who can critique each decision because they know all the variables that go behind it. Do you want to start a Conquer Club game? Ha. I used to play there.
  12. Give me Cedeno over Addi right now.
  13. Can't imagine why.
  14. 2019...minus 2008...that stuff is from over 8 years ago, at least! I want to go back and read that thread where everyone fellated themselves with polls and rankings for who the best posters were. I think there might have been some embarrassing stuff in there.
  15. Heh. I mean, we argue. We also both make random movie references in the middle of arguments, it seems. I'll say something which I would assume was mostly harmless, like the idea that as Cub fans we are indirectly or directly supporting the corporation that is the Chicago Cubs. And suddenly I'm "insane" and its my "worst take yet" and "everything I say is horrible." And then when I make a random movie reference, its "Dude, stop." I think I am a pretty normal guy...at least par for the course for Cub fans willing to waste as much time on a message board as we do. The only thing that changed is that I have the audacity to disagree.
  16. If they want to come forward that's up to them, but I'm not going to out them just because you can't imagine how big off an ass you and IMB might come off as.
  17. This is definitely not true. Whatever you want to believe. I mean hell, the PMs I got are the reason I was reminded of this 2016 stuff in the first place. I don't get many of them.
  18. a million dollars Yeah, I mentioned that part. That, I did, indeed, decypher as a non-serious wager.
  19. Except you accepted the +200 so don't pretend that's what I was harping on. I wouldn't say you welched because we didn't agree to an amount after your million dollar offer, but you wussed out because you were talking out of your ass, which is a frequent occurance. at the risk of making fun of a disabled person, if you can't read the obvious sarcasm in those quotes then you should ... work on ... comprehending posts better What is sarcastic about "I'LL TAKE IT" and "tempting..."? Back then I kind of felt bad about picking on a guy that was probably just buzzed and pissed off and venting, but I don't like you very much at the present. You're an horsefeathers.
  20. I just searched for "+200" in the game threads around the time of the 2016 playoffs. Have fun. The last half was via PMs...which, btw, I've gotten a fair amount of lately from people that don't understand what certain people's problems are on this board, but I guess they don't feel like being berated at the drop of a harmless hat.
