You want to argue semantics when you're busy throwing your opinion around. The FACT is that Baez and Contreras were brought to the Cubs' organization under Jim Hendry's tenure. Just because "it's your opinion" that Hendry doesn't deserve credit for anything good is your problem. Does Hendry's opinion count?
I had a guy at a Cubs Rockies game at Coors Field give me a wet-willie once. Let's call him "D." I would rank them, from worst to least worst: A, B, D, C. (Guy C also happens to not exist.)
The season that Chatwood had last year was orders of magnatude weirder than anything I've seen with the Cubs. That Yu is recreating it almost precisely this season has me questioning reality. Is this a coaching issue? It almost has to be, right?
If that's the case, then wtf is Happ in the minors? Doing whatever guys who aren't Theo's first first round pick do. I see. So you think Theo has a powerpoint on his laptop where he ranks all of his first round picks based on how long ago he made the pick? Do you think he values his 3rd round pick from 2015 more or less than his 2nd round pick from 2017? Does he have a rubric to keep all of this straight?
I'd bet good money this useless turd is still as prominent as he is specifically because he was Theo and co.'s first first round pick. If that's the case, then wtf is Happ in the minors?
Huh, I know nothing about Robel Garcia. Is he a real prospect? I went on baseball-reference.com to look up his stats and there's this weird gap from 2013 to the present season. Seems too old to be considered a serious prospect, but he's raking at AA. I read something about him on a random site just a few days ago. I guess he was playing in Italy until recently.
